We know it’s been awfully quiet this past month. However, we’re back with important developer updates for Winds of Arcana: Ruination!

As you may recall from our last update, we had taken the decision to skip Steam Next Fest: June 2025 Edition and target the festival after. We’re glad to report that we are making good progress on the Final Demo for Steam Next Fest: October 2025 Edition (October 13 to October 20). You can expect a host of changes made based on our amazing community’s feedback.

Expect a ton of improvements, including better controls, more animations, visual effects, sounds, and new content in the form of a new biome, several yet to be seen enemy types and of course, a brand new boss fight. We’ll have more to show and discuss once we are closer to October!

Apart from that, progress on the Full Game has also been slow but steady! In addition to the above mentioned changes for the next demo, we have also begun more extensive testing, along with some major UI updates to the Soul Crests, Artifices, Relix, Modex, Quests and more. Not only that, but we will also have our new map screen up and running VERY soon. All this is being done to ensure players will have a smooth experience when navigating and exploring different biomes.

This brings us to another important announcement. We are in the process of organising our first ever Community Playtest! While we can’t share the exact details just yet, in case you are interested in participating and want to ensure your inputs are incorporated into the full release, definitely keep an eye out on our {LINK REMOVIDO}Discord Channel.

It’s been a hot minute, but we’re back with some very important updates to share with you all. So strap in, because it’s a bit of a doozy…

Let’s get the big one out of the way. As you may recall, we had promised in previous dev updates that we are looking to release the next and final Winds of Arcana: Ruination demo for the Steam Next Fest: June 2025 Edition. However, after much discussion with the team, we have taken the decision to push the Final Demo to Steam Next Fest: October 2025 Edition (October 13 to October 20).

This was not a simple nor easy decision for us to make. But after reviewing all the feedback we’ve gathered since the last four physical events, the IGU Steam demo (which you can still play!), content creators and our amazing community - we felt it was the right call to delay the Final Demo to October 2025. We do apologize for not being able to meet this deadline. With that being said, this new target date will give the team ample time to incorporate all the shiny new features, fixes and polish that we know will make a huge difference to our players.

Now for some good news! We’ve already internally begun testing the full version of Winds of Arcana: Ruination. While we cannot immediately comment on when the exact release date will be, what this does mean is that we are one step closer to completing the game and ensuring that the release will be sometime towards the end of 2025. This is a HUGE milestone for us and we hope to talk more about it when we get closer to the Steam Next Fest: October 2025 Edition. So be on the look out for that and news about the Final Demo.

Lastly, we just want to once again extend our thanks to the support of our community and friends. As mentioned before, we received a lot of incredibly valuable feedback from those who took the time to message or leave a comment on the Steam forums and our {LINK REMOVIDO}Discord Channel. We take the time to go through everything (and we do mean EVERYTHING) and ensure that you guys are being heard.

But while there’s no Steam Next Fest: June 2025 Edition demo, that doesn’t mean we won't have stuff to show off. In fact, we’re planning a little something special on our Discord Channel next month. So if you haven't already, do join us for the latest updates and come say hi while you’re there!
