This game was such a step up from the original Call of Jaurez, better graphics, diverse abilities, the second character can actually slow time down now, the backstory of the first game has been revealed in something besides a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ text box, the drawn on cutscenes are amazing, the acting was amazing, the gunplay feels so fresh and the differences between Ray and Thomas, especially in certain levels with the paths they take and things they find out, really i enjoyed this game a lot. Only problem was that i had to set my audio bitrate on my speakers to 44000khz and 16 bits or the game would freeze mid cutscene and not load, but thats just a problem coming from using speakers that normally play 96000hz and 24bits (haha i stole them from my tv setup) Overall I really love this game and its such a well crafted western, one of the few western games out there besides red dead redemption and gun.

This game isn't perfect. I liked how it showed parts of the civil war and how that influenced outlaw deserters. I also really like the dynamic between the brothers. Some of the dialog writing is kind of cheesy but i feel like that is just part of the experience. The gunplay is solid too. If u like western shooters would def recommend

They say a story is only as good as its ending. Unfortunately, I don't get to see this one because the final level crashes during its loading screen transition and refuses to cooperate despite every attempted fix thrown at it.

What's there to say? Bound in Blood is a better game than its predecessor, despite getting slight CoD-ified. Gunplay is more snappy, graphics are a major upgrade, and the story is better told.

But between this penultimate pain-in-the-ass and several gamebreaking bugs that forced me to restart entire levels from their beginnings, this too often left me frustrated. I don't mind a lengthy level and all the stops along the way, but I will quickly go to resent them when I'm forced to clear the WHOLE thing again because a stupid AI partner won't move when they should, or when the only 'fix' for a bug or a crash is load from the beginning of the chapter.

Not to mention the horrible post-processing affects with no decent levels of adjustment. Do you like blur? How about we cover every freakin' pixel on the screen with three different types of blur effects and make using iron-sights similar to what somebody with glaucoma sees. You can turn it to 'Simple' (not 'Off'), but then everything gets a real flat look. Or how about the FOV that can't be adjusted without a mod, which introduces its own graphical glitches and anomalies. None of this was acceptable even in its release year.

Techland would be better off making productivity software, I've come to think. Maybe other players will have better luck than me. And it's a shame, since I want to give the actual game, underneath all this crud, a positive review. But when it's this busted and unreliable, that can't be honestly done.
