Hello everyone! Critical Bliss (East) is here to give you guys a report!

We are happy that so many people are excited and even restless about this project's release. Trust us when we say we see you! Please don't confuse our silence for inaction; we are simply hard at work. We function very much like a normal game studio and release information when we feel things are ready to show.

Because of your enthusiasm, we want to work hard and deliver something that will meet expectations.

During the past few months, Critical Bliss (East) has been working hard on:

• re-evaluating the original NTRAHOLIC's game design for improvements in the DX version;
• Reworking game systems for a more satisfying experience;
• overhauling the minigames;
• building new maps, backgrounds, and items;
• Working on both large and small animations;
• adding new side characters!

While we will hold back on revealing everything that we are doing. Let's give you guys a glimpse of what we are doing so you can feel confident that NTRAHOLIC DX will release sometime this year!

Art Direction

First, the use of Live2D will not be present in any shape or form in the DX version. All animations are done by hand, as we feel that this makes the material far more erotic, as we can add further detail to expression and movement.

We have hired more animators to help with rough ideas for things to move quickly. These animations are then converted into pixel art to maintain the aesthetic that we are training to aim for.

After deciding on the larger pixel art style for the bigger animated scenes, we decided to revisit the style one more time to be more in line with the game's overall vision and fit closer to the concept art.

This is important, as other pixel artists can now contribute to the project with a unified vision of how the style looks. Regardless, our lead pixel artist always double-checks the work and ensures they give feedback so they can improve without needing constant correction.

Mini Games and Systems

As we said before, we don't find the mini games in the original NTAHJOLIC very engaging. We have completely remade the chore system to something far more advanced but still simple to interact with. Our goal in this touch-and-feel system is to reduce dead time and keep the player active for most of the game. How exactly does it work? Well... you will have to wait for release!

We have many mini-games planned. Each was designed to be fun and simple to play while visually engaging and exciting. Some other games secretly share similar mechanics but have been given a new art and context to maintain your attention!

Look forward to many surprises to come!

For those who want a more relaxed environment to experiment with actions, a gallery system will be built that will have all unlocked actions for you to freely play with at your leisure! You will have to unlock all the items and actions, however, in the main game before they become available.

Updated Maps and Environments

We hinted at this before, but yes, we will also have detailed and rich environments. While there will be a limited amount of areas for you to navigate due to the game's point-and-click nature, we are trying to maintain our sense of quality in every corner of the game we have.

Areas are more believable in scale and now open new opportunists for lewd scenarios.

There is a dedicated illustration team whose job is to take care of this to let the animators animate without stress. Another way we maintain a healthy work environment for our employees.

To ensure that the artwork is going in the right direction, all pixel art is "gray boxed," details are added later after the artistic leads have reviewed it.

We have big plans for the hotsprings portion of the game, and it will be an element that you can visit multiple times in the main story!

More Characters

Alice is no longer the only side character that Ryonosuke can interact with. We will be adding 3 new characters to the DX (Critical Bliss) version of the game, each with a unique quest to accomplish.

CEO (Name Pending): A serious, no-nonsense CEO who has recently awakened to performing perverted acts in public. Her side quest is to find her favorite locations and have your way with her once you have caught her enough times in the act.

Gyaru (Name Pending): A slutty bitch who becomes upset by you ruining her chances to make money by not letting her current client into the club downtown. She will send men to fight you once you have angered her enough! Beat them up and take her body as a prize!

Nerdy Girl: (Name Pending): This is a nerdy-looking girl who works at a local convenience store downtown! You will visit this place often when you decide to buy some "supplies" you need to have a good time Chiho. She may seem not threatening at first, but you will quickly find out she has a deep grudge for Chiho and won't hesitate to give her a hard time if she has the chance.

And if she takes notice that the wife is cheating... well, you will find out yourself!

Alice: High-Class Escort! It will remain mostly the same conceptually but will still be giving an uplift. You will find out what we did with her once the game releases!

While side events are optional, they may open up opportunities for new things to do with Chiyo or even special new endings and content! We look forward to all of you seeing what we cook up!

2 games in 1

While we are fully committed and confident in the quality of this remake, we understand and sympathize with those who still want to enjoy the original experience on Steam. We are happy to announce that the original version of NTRAHOLIC will also be included entirely for free as a selectable option when launching the app.

This will effectively mean that purchasers will get two games in one! We hope this gesture will invite older fans to at least give the DX version a try, but if you are not at all interested, you will have the choice to ignore it completely.

Note: This will also not affect the final price of the game in any way and will match other storefronts.

All we ask is that you be patient for the DX version to be completed this year, and you will have an amazing deal on your hands!

Post-Release Support

We plan on this game coming out this year, but some ideas may be left aside to achieve that goal. However, the team is very resourceful and dedicated. After the DX version is released, we will add some new things and more events completely for free for all to enjoy.

If you liked what we did with our side characters, perhaps more can be in-store in the future~

NTRAHOLIC DX Progress Report!

Hi all! Tiramisu here!

We are very sorry to announce that Steam version will be delayed. Our staff, our publisher Critical Bliss and me have had a series of meetings and decided to delay the release of NTRAHOLIC Steam version to early 2024.

Due to the emergency situation for Critical Bliss’s latest project FlipWitch, we were asked to change the development plan so that they could release FlipWitch by the 17th of November. We were aware of Critical Bliss’ enthusiasm and their (insanely) high quality standards, so we decided to accept their request. (Plus, we thought this would be a great chance for us to see their proof of concept.)

The result: FlipWitch is a huge success! The game has received a “Very Positive” player review on Steam at their first week after release. Our team has played the game and was impressed by Critical Bliss’s awesome pixel art animation, QoL and overall game progression. This gave us the confidence to let Critical Bliss’s team work their magic and give NTRAHOLIC their best shot.

You might be wondering: “Aren’t you simply going to port the game and sell it on other platforms?” The answer is a gigantic No. Our publisher Critical Bliss has committed to drastically overhaul and improve the game to take it to the next level. There are several reasons for these changes.

One of the main reasons is the situation regarding NTRAHOLIC’s game engine Unity. I will not go into detail (you can check out this news article for example: https://www.theverge.com/2023/9/12/23870547/unit-price-change-game-development) but the changes to Unity’s pricing model confused and frustrated the entire indie game developer community. Since we don’t know whether we can trust Unity to not change their pricing model, we thought it could be risky for us to continue developing the game with Unity. This is why we decided to get help from Critical Bliss and let them build a version of NTRAHOLIC in GODOT.

Since NTRAHOLIC needs to be rebuilt from scratch, we decided to grab this opportunity to polish our game and make it the best we can. The new Steam version will include new art, game design, improvement in both writing and translation quality, new side characters, new endings, new voice lines and much more that will surely make you happy.

We are collaborating with Critical Bliss’s amazing team to make NTRAHOLIC a game worth waiting for.

Critical Bliss here!

All of you have been pretty patient with us so we would like to give all of you a taste of what we have planned with the newly dubbed NTRAHOLIC DX!

NTRAHOLIC DX Features:

Vastly Improved Animation

We have the full Critical Bliss art and animation team (with additional new hires after the massive success of FlipWitch) helping refurbish the animation of the previous game. However for us its not just about matching what is already there, but exceeding it significantly.

NTRAHOLIC will have even more poses for you to unlock compared to the original. This is also to make this game more inline with others of similar genre. We want to go above and beyond with this feature and provide alternates to some posses depending on Chiho level of sluttiness!

She may react differently after cumming or an entirely new pose to represent her new state of mind! We also plan to include a speech bubble system and other nice things to enhance the experience as well.

We will also plan on doing larger animation for certain sections of the game and will be done with traditional animation techniques!

Restructured Map and "Stamina" System

The way Stamina was done before needed to be implemented better. We took some cues from games like Summer Memories and switched things to a tick system for this mechanic to matter more.

You must manage your days better and ensure you do the best you can out of them! The new tick system was a solution we discussed with Tira, and it was necessary to ensure the game doesn't feel grindy and has the added benefit of delivering more clarity to players.

The locations have also been updated with new potential activities to do with Chiho! NTRAHOLIC DX will also have more side content to support the expanded size with more NPCs and characters for players to interact with.

Mini Game Refurbishment

The biggest one!

We have added brand new mini game systems in NTRAHOLIC DX. We are taking inspiration from other "touch and feel" titles. Our goal is to make a much more enjoyable system that will have far less dead time and more "active time". We want players feeling like they are doing something instead of just waiting for a bar to decrease.

Instead of having the small area where you can see actions we are taking advantage of the whole screen! We will be increasing the size of the artwork so you can see some more details and expressions!

This will reduce that sensation of grindyness that many players felt previously have by making sure they are staying active in the sex. But don't worry for those who want to check out all the animations at their own leisure we will have an EXTENSIVE gallery system where you will be able to freely recall previous events and animations!

Ryo's selection of jobs has also been expanded and will be based on story progression and certain times of the day. Each new job mini game will also feature H rewards and even hidden side quest based on your performance!

Better Progression for Chiho

That being said we wanted to address what we felt was a big problem in the original. Which was the pacing and the way Chiho actually progressed through the story.

Our writers are working with Tira closely on ironing out the rest of the narrative and truly display her decent into depravity. We plan on having Chiho "change" in many ways as you ramp up her lewdness. The way she addresses Ryo, talks, and expresses her desires and feelings change as you go through the story. We want to show that to all of you not just with text but also visually.

Chiho based mini games and other interactions will change! And phone messages will become increasingly more depraved!

More outfits

With Tira's permission, we upgraded FemMC's wardrobe and gave her many more outfits. What she is wearing will depend on what tasks you are doing with her and her current state of corruption!

Stat Tracking And Achievements

For all you out there that love tracking h-stats and lewdness of the character we will be introducing a new status and stat screen!

While an addition added later to NTR legendl. NTRAHOLIC DX will be built with these systems in mind.
very quickly you will get access to "Incubus Eyes" that will allow you to see into the thoughts of Chiho and know exactly how she feels about Ryo and Shota.

Certain poses and other depraved activities will require certain areas on Chiho's body and experience to be high enough. Chiho will also change to represent that new state she is in!

Even Ryo himself will have achievements too! Improving Ryo's ability to corrupt Chiho mind more effectively.

More Side Quest

While we know that Chiho is the main girl ofthe game we felt that some other content was needed to help flesh out the experience. The "escort" will of course be back in the game with an update to her mini game, but we all plan on adding some other women in the game for Ryo to go after!

While not extensive as Chiho decent to depravity narrative wise. These side quest should serve as a nice bonus distraction and my lead to even more new scenes with Chiho!

Post Release Support!

Once we are done with our DX version we will be moving on to some other tasks with other Japanese and eastern creators with some of our team, but we still plan on adding some post release support with new content and a few updates!

Trust us this will be worth the wait! We are dedicated in delivering all of you the best possible product!

NTRAHOLIC delayed until Q4 2023

Hello! Critical Bliss here!

First we would like to extend our apologies for anyone who disappointed by this news. However we couldn't in good faith release this project in the state that it was in. It would be irresponsible for us to do.

While we respect what Tiramisu's has made so far on his own, we want (as usual with most of our clients) to provide some assistance in polishing up this product to shine and ensure it success on this environment. We are happy that he has been receptive as it allows on to make sure this thing can be the best that it can be!

We will be explaining below what our plans are and what changes you can look forward to at the end of the year!

Clean up the code!

The original game has a lot of performance problems, technically issues, and bugs that we know will affect the enjoyment of the game for many people. While these kind of things are accepted generally on other platforms, (DLSITE, ITCH.IO, ECT) we know for sure that its not accepted on Steam.

We want to make sure that NTRHOLIC is as bug free as possible and offer a smooth experience to everyone that plays it in any language. Like some of our clients in Asian countries, we will be taking the on the burden of programming for this game to ensure its quality.

The version that will be on STEAM will done in GODOT. A much leaner and cleaner engine that the majority of all our projects run in. We felt this would be the best measure moving forward and would cause less complications in terms of communication. It will be Tiramisu's choice later if he decides to use that GODOT version as the main version when the project is completely done.

Gameplay adjustments and reduction of grind!

Players and QA testers have reported that the grind is this title is a bit much. We want to offer our design talents to adjust the pacing of the game for a more relaxing experience. To fill in the gaps will be adding more content and adjusting the progression of Chiho corruption!

Mini games are also planned to have improvements as well while respecting the developers vision and inspiration. Expect things like the user interface, navigation, sound, general quality of life features, much more comprehensive settings menu, are all planned. We will make sure the version on Steam is the definitive NTRAHOLIC experience!

No more inconsistent art!

Ight guys! The big one!

The Art!

One of the many things we noticed while quality checking this game is that the art is very inconsistent. It varies greatly in quality gives this game a very amateurish appearance. Some shots are not even in a proper 16.9 resolution and causes pretty aggressive pixelization in the game.

There is even some confusion on Chiho's hair color!

Of course this isn't TIRAMISU's fault entirely. We are well aware with prior experience that working with artist in our field can be exhausting and can be the source of many delays due to the importance of good art in adult creative content.

So we made a deal with TIRAMISU and Critical Bliss Asia will be reworking the games CGs to follow one cohesive art style. One of our full time artist NAIDONG (and massive netorare lover) will be taking the lead and will be reworking all the CG in this game (And we do mean all of it). Other artist will be supporting him in linework and coloring to greatly speed up the process and ensure that things are done quickly at the highest quality. As a bonus to your patience we will be adding more alternates to scenes, set up shots, and even new content to better pace the game!

Pixel Art Adjustments

Speaking of art the same thing goes with the pixel work of the game. Again NTRAHOLIC tends to vary greatly on pixel art styles (as well as quality). We will be using some of our pixel artist to also unify the stylization of the pixel work and even improve some of the animated art! This is a quick but necessary job. Expect more detail as well being added to environments!

In closing!

Again we fully know that not everyone will be happy with the delay and we are sure that some may feel that these adjustments are unnecessary. We are fully devoted to TIRAMISU's success and we want to make sure that their debut on this platform is a great and explosive one.

I asked CriticalBliss about the update of this game

So basically ive DM them at X and this is their response "We are making the DX version of NTRAHOLIC. The original game and the DX version will ship at the same time once its completed," "We are simply just making the game! We have a short time to make it so the team is just super focused on making the content," "when we feel like there is things to show we will show the material." This is their response. So we have to wait for awhile till the 'material' is ready 'to show'. And they promise that they will...
