The premise is simple: survive. You play as Amanda Ripley, daughter of the Ripley, whose decision to explore a creepy space station feels like an extreme case of “following in mom’s footsteps.”

Every corridor is dimly lit, filled with steam vents, and makes random noises that seem specifically designed to trigger your fight-or-flight response. The whole place just screams, “Maintenance overdue,” and the humans on board are somehow worse company than the alien. They’re either trying to shoot you or giving you that “I’ve been stuck in space for too long and I might snap” vibe.

The game's visuals capture the Alien film's aesthetic in stunning detail, giving you that perfect 1970s vision of the future. The CRT monitors, clunky machinery, and chunky, analog-style tech on the Sevastopol Station feel nostalgic, yet entirely immersive. The game’s art direction really nails the "lived-in" future feel, where everything looks worn down, grimy, and used—a stark contrast to the sleek, high-tech environments often seen in other sci-fi games.

• จากประสบการณ์ 18ชั่วโมงกับเกมนี้ บอกได้อย่างเดียวคือ "กดดันมาก ตึงมาก" แต่ส่วนตัวอาจจะด้วยความที่เป็นแฟนภาพยนตร์เจ้า Xenomorph ผมเลยไม่ได้รู้สึกว่า "มันน่ากลัวขนาดนั้น" แต่เรื่องนี้คงแล้วแต่บุคคล เพราะ แต่ละคนกลัวไม่เหมือนกัน (ถ้าให้เทียบกับเกมแนวเดียวกันที่ผมเพิ่งได้เลนในปีนี้ อย่าง Amnesia : The Bunker ผมยกให้เกมนั้นน่ากลัวกว่า) แต่ถึงอย่างนั้นก็ต้องยอมรับว่า AI Monster ใน Amnesia The Bunker น่าจะได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากนี้นี่แหละ เพราะ ระดับความตึงพอๆกัน
  
• ด้วยความผมไม่ได้เล่นเกม Survival Horror บ่อยนัก ส่วนใหญ่จะเล่นเกม Horror มากกว่า (แบบที่สู้ผีไม่ได้) มันเลยทำให้ผมมองว่า Alien: Isolation ไม่ใช่เกมที่น่ากลัวขนาดนั้น (ไม่น่ากลัวที่สุดสำหรับผม) แต่ถ้าจะบอกว่าเป็น "เกมที่ตึงมือที่สุด กดดันที่สุด" ก็อาจจะใช่
  
• สำหรับใครที่ลังเลใจว่า "ฉันจะเล่นไหวไหมนะ" ผมอยากจะบอกอย่างนี้ครับว่า "ระดับ Normal กับ Hard คือ 2ระดับ ที่ผู้สร้างอยากให้เราได้สัมผัสจริงๆ (โหมด Easy เหมือนทำมาเพื่อดูถูกคนเล่นสุดๆ)" เอาเป็นว่าทำความเข้าใจอย่างนี้ก่อนครับว่า Alien: Isolation เป็น Survival Horror ถ้าคุณเล่น Resident Evil 7 หรือ Resident Evil Village จบได้ / คุณก็เล่นเกมนี้ได้ เพราะ มันสู้ได้ / แต่อาจจะต้องทำใจหน่อยว่า "รูปแบบการสู้ของมันอาจจะไม่ได้เหมือน Resident Evil" แถมเกมมันค่อนข้างหนักไปทาง Stealth / ถ้าคุณสงสัยว่าทำไมผมถึงเทียบกับ RE 7 กับ Village เพราะ ถ้าผมจำไม่ผิด 2เกมนั้น มันจะมีช่วงที่เราไม่มีอาวุธอะไรเลย ทำได้แค่หนี / ซึ่ง Alien: Isolation ก็เป็นแบบนั้น แต่มัน Hardcore กว่าตรงที่ "กว่าคุณจะมีอาวุธไว้สู้กับมัน คุณอาจจะยอมแพ้และเลิกเล่นไปก่อนก็ได้" / อย่างที่บอกเกมมันหนัก Stealth ครับ และถ้าเทียบเป็นสัดส่วน ผมให้ Stealth 80% บู๊ 20%
  
• เกมมีทั้งหมด 18 Mission (ผมเล่นไป 18.3ชั่วโมง ตีว่าผมเล่น Mission ละชั่วโมงก็ได้) / "กว่าคุณจะมีอาวุธไว้สู้กับมัน คุณอาจจะยอมแพ้และเลิกเล่นไปก่อนก็ได้" เพราะ กว่าคุณจะได้ปืนไฟไว้สู้กับ Xenomorph ก็ปาไป Mission 10, แต่เกมไม่ได้ใจร้ายขนาดนั้น เพราะ ระหว่างนั้น คุณสามารถฟาร์มของ คราฟระเบิดไฟ ระเบิดเสียงใช้ล่อ และอื่นๆ ที่พอจะช่วยรับมือได้บ้าง แต่ก็นั่นแหละครับ ต้องผ่าน 10ชั่วโมงแรกถึงคุณจะมีอาวุธไว้สู้กับเจ้า Alien จริงๆ (ปืนไฟ เป็น ปืนชนิดเดียวในเกมที่ใช้กับ Alien ได้ นอกนั้นไว้ยิงคนกับหุ่นยนต์)
  
• เกมค่อนข้างตึงครับ ถึงผมจะเล่นไป 18ชั่วโมง แต่ก็ไม่ได้เล่น18ชั่วโมงรวด ผมใช้เวลาเล่นประมาณ6วัน (วันละ3ชั่วโมงโดยประมาณ) ไม่สามารถเล่นมาราธอนได้จริงๆ เพราะ ตึงมาก ลุ้นตัวเกร๊ง ตูดขมิบกันเลยทีเดียว
  
• ก็ตามนั้นแหละครับ ถ้าคุณอยากจะเล่น ผมแนะนำว่า "ต้องเปิดใจ และอดทน" เกมมันไม่ได้น่ากลัวขนาดนั้น และ! ในเกมนี้คุณจะตายง่าย และตายบ่อยมากๆ ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องปกติครับอย่าคิดมาก ขยันเซฟบ่อยๆ และที่สำคัญอันนี้เป็น Trick คือ "เรดาร์ พยายามดู เรดาร์ให้เป็น ถ้าคุณดูเป็น มันจะช่วยคุณรับมือเจ้า Alien ได้ง่ายขึ้นมากๆ ให้จำง่ายๆว่า สามเหลี่ยมกลับหัว ปลายสามเหลี่ยมคือตัวเรา"

• เป็นหนึ่งในเกม Survival Horror ที่สนุกครับ สนุกมาก แต่เป็นประสบการณ์รอบเดียว (ไม่เล่นซ้ำ และที่ไม่เล่นซ้ำไม่ใช่เพราะเกมไม่สนุก สนุกครับ สนุกมาก แต่มันตึงมากจนเหนื่อย ลุ้นมาก)
  
• และอยากจะให้หลายๆคนเปิดใจ และลองอดทนกับมันดู ถ้าคุณผ่านเกมพวกแนว Soul like มาได้ ผมว่าแค่นี้จิ้บๆครับ (เกมยากเหมือนกัน ตายบ่อยเหมือนกัน ต่างกันแค่เกมนี้น่ากลัวแค่นั้นแหละ) / คือ เกมมันอาจจะดูเหมือนไม่ปราณีคุณจริงๆ แต่เอาจริง มันไม่ได้ใจร้ายขนาดนั้นครับ เกมแทบจะให้อุปกรณ์และอาวุธกับคุณมากพอที่จะทำให้คุณเล่นผ่านได้ ที่เหลืออยู่ที่ว่า "คุณอดทนและกล้าพอจะเผชิญหน้ากับมันหรือเปล่า" และถ้าคุณชอบความท้าทาย ความลุ้น ตัวเกร๊ง ตูดขมิบ เกมนี้ตอบโจทย์มากๆ
