Thanks, the game finally starts (again)!

I seem to have lost my saved game now. After the update it restarted me back at the beginning sector, oddly enough, I still have my origional game crew from the saved game I just lost. I'm so confused. Quit back to the ships screen and now I dont have a game "continue" at all.

Hopefully it has been a pleasant 2020 for you.

My saves were lost wtf. I opened the game and then I see that I didn't unlock any ship but I have B Kestrel, B zolton and B mantis.

P.S. I unlocked every ship A ship in the game except for crystal ship

still not working. beta patch changes nothing and 1 file is constantly invalidated and has to be re downloaded. music played once loading bar filled but now even that has stopped.

Sounds like you have an antivirus or something that keeps blocking one file, or your file system permissions (or the hdd/ssd itself is going bad) are set wrong.

Hey, I got mine to go. Spoke to the devs and they advised my profile was corrupted, had to redo, unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your view) I lost all my ships, but it works now.

This is the instructions sent

If it stops at the end of the loading screen, the bad news is that it's possible your profile may have been corrupted. You'll need to do a few things to test and fix this:
1. Turn off Steam Cloud Sync. (From your Steam Library, right-click on FTL and select "Properties."--> Click the "Updates" tab. --> Uncheck "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for FTL." --> Click "Close.")
2. Close Steam completely.
3. Move or rename your current profile - the one in "My Documents / My Games / FasterThanLight". You're looking for prof.sav and/or ae_prof.sav
4. Without restarting Steam, run FTL directly from its installation directory. It's most likely located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FTL Faster Than Light

They also advised to use Vhati's profile editor to get back anything I lost. I didn't I am starting again.

I don't know if it is a direct result of the patch but my FTL is now getting stuck on the load screen as soon as I open it up. I have tried running it as admin and have also tried doing what the FAQ says but to no avail. Any pointers?
