I enjoyed this game very much. I usually buy a lot of games and get bored too quickly to finish it, but this one I sat through the whole campaign and love every moment. Best turn based game I played in years. Lots of replayability and customization. My first warhammer game and also first X-COM type turn based game. It has a steep learning curve, but once you learn how it works, you'll feel proud to die for the emperor.

This is a pretty good game comparable to X-Com, not quite there but with its own unique additions.

The difficulty I did not find to be that bad at all, but it depends on how you do on the main map. Mess up, and you get 4-5 skull missions instead of 1-2 skull missions and that's a huge jump. I've had to restart several times because of choices I made on the main map.

The weapons, graphics, gore, etc are a delight compared to X-Com. The same goes for the classes. It's more involved, with more choice for the basics. We're missing DNA modification and robots and things of that nature, so in combination of that, there is less choice.

There's less for home-base building in comparison, but I wasn't wild about X-Com's base building - it usually got in the way of what I was trying to do or enjoy. For base building, I usually play other games completely.

I found this game to be enjoyable enough to fully play through it twice, and will likely do so again someday. (For me, it is a rarity that I play a game twice.)

This is a decent game and it's fairly fun.
However, Frontier is a GARBAGE company staffed exclusively by jerks who hate customers and deliberately ruin games.
Do not buy this at full price, don't reward them for their dastardly behaviour over the past decade and a half.
