_you just need r10 destroyer for evolution quest
_destoyers are fun against bots but you will pay more than you earn in decent pvp league , just because rare are the teammates using detection to save your life from covops , and ECM are specialy designed to exploit your super strenght and make YOU kill your own teamates.
>vigilant has a nice lazer and the mine is a cancer
>relic is the king of AoE and reflect-dmg is always good in any videogames
>albireo can ninja and spawncamp , if you are vicious it is a nightmare
>emperor is more interesting for brawl battles , can hide and make curved shots
add tyrant in your list , can restore shield very fast and tazzz at close range
_the best "FAT frigate" will always be Ze'Ta because modifiers also count as modules , but the price is worth all destroyers combined (time is money)
ps : i dont see them in front of their screen but ... pilots with destroyers , if i catch them isolated without support , when i spin around them ... i know they are like "oowh shh' pfff ...." , you can see/feel they give up because it is just a question of time before they die , perhaps a double tap for teleport ... perhaps ... destroyers (despite what whinners can say repeatedly on forums) are less dangerous than they are in danger , they dont really have far more firepower , nor surivability , but they are very fat and very slow and have countless of different problems to solve to garantee their survival .
99% of noobs , 1% can make you die TOO FAST
If you're dead-set on using the Halo Launcher it won't matter too much what you pick, Minimum mentioned most of the benefits of each. That said I think most R17 Destroyers have a Unique Weapon which is multitudes better.
If you have the opportunity for any R17 Destroyer, you can be a chad and get Emperor, it's interesting with stealth and guided missiles with the hull toughness you expect from Empire ships.
Otherwise Albireo is most efficient. It's like Spiral in that you can detach into an Interceptor and then activate again to have a full-health Destroyer again, except the cooldown is only like 40s, so insta-heal on your Destroyer every 40s with a panic button for escaping instant death, with teleport and stealth on the interceptor means if you're careful you won't ever die.
I hate Relic, I made a thread about how much I hate Relic. And even coming back after years, I still hate Relic and its badly implemented abilities (i.e. can counter for specific loadouts, impossible for others, can completely stand-still matches). That said it's really easy to rack-up kills with Relic while being pretty safe, it can win you matches pretty handily if nobody contests you.
Others not sure. Sirius (lower rank Destroyer) could be good with +damage ability on max speed.
the rest are "fun" but ultimatedly useless in a fight vs. good players.
the nerfs to destroyers making them die in 5 seconds if a interceptor or any ship look at them wrong, makes them feel subpar in general....
they should just have removed their ability to 5 second snipe interceptors or fighters, inter should be absurd hard to hit, like even perfect aimbot wont hit it 95% of the time, fighters should be like 70%
and obviously their dmg should be to scale, not like a destroyer killing a dreadnought in short time in missions due to the ridiculess % dmg increase stats, honestly it makes missions a trashy grind
edit: after getting emperor and vindi r17 destroyers, fully fitted and maxing them out, tried all 3 modules and a hellish amount off setup and done around 50+ pvp matches with them since getting them;
i find they are a reliability to use, 1min respawn is extremely long, and if you meet some off its obv counter ships you just die in seconds with no real response.
besides that it feels so off that their best use is to snipe interceptors out off the sky from the fighting, not fire on their destroyers because destroyer dmg is much much more effective against fighters and interceptors; which with good aim you can kill in 5-10 seconds even on a tanky one... which is also broken; not what it was supposed to counter or support
but even so i find myself enjoying a rank8 interceptor more... which is sad; kinda feel like they screwed up the destroyer and with it the frigates feel and playstyle.
(sadly ships under rank 10 cant do most things; ricesso is prob my fav tiny ship xD)
you i think one will eventually return to long range lasers, highest dps, highest range at near 8km base, and thermal dmg which is alpha omega as investing in thermal resist makes you go Puff on shield for em and kenetic for armour; if they happen to have anything but thermal, and all those
Good Points. yeah destroyer are good for PVE, like Special Ops etc etc

The reason for so many destroyers is just collecting mania.
My favorite ship at the moment is the TharGa,
with Thar'Ga'tok launcher LVL17
also for everything the relic doesnt do better, the zeta, alien destroyer, is better.
honestly there is a 120dollar full zeta sale right now.
get that over anything else, once you have that you need nothing else in the game, maybe a yitmore at some point.
but you settled and anything else you get will run you easily into the 120+ and wont give anything near as good.
so yer, its also not sold normally, only on these promotions. (got the 40dollar starter like 2 weeks before this sale, am i sad about that hehe)
