I wouldn't mind a Thief 2 Gold with SR come back to voice briefing for a few more levels, maybe flesh out casing the joint more.

It was planned before LGS got shut down, a whooping five missions, it is a bit of a cursed project for the FM authors though, mainly the expectation from the community, and then what little is left from LGS' assets.

Now let's suppose Night Dive obtained the right to remaster it magically...They could be just extra individual levels not integrated into OM, like Jensen's Stories in Mankind Divided.

If that doesn't work either I am contend with just make more detail objects, a small visual upgrade and revamp of levels here and there.

Terrible idea. The System Shock 2 remaster looks absolutely awful. Night Dive should stay far away from Thief.

That said, I don't think I need a Thief remaster. With the TFix patches, there's all I need in the games.

Yes, yes it does. The updated models stick out like a sore thumb, in the worst way possible. And the textures are from that horrible mod, SHTUP. System Shock 2 didn’t need a remaster either.

I never like how Tfix looks, somehow it makes the shadow really grey, pitch dark never look as dark as the light gem, it is something that I can only replicate with a pixalate filter from reshade.

Software mode does it too, but tfix took that away as well.

Chances are we'll disagree on something else too.

The System Shock 2 Remaster is a lot of fun, and I enjoy the minor gameplay changes they made. I think Night Dive should remaster Thief by combining both campaigns under the Thief 2 engine, fix some of the bugs, and make it so the settings can register additional mouse buttons.
