i couldn't solve level 46 is there anyone who solved it that can help?

Two fortresses can conflict if they are in the same "region". What exactly defines a region? I have had severeal surprises where fortresses not near each other and not on the same horizontal or vertical are in the same "region", it appears. From a fortress's point of view, what pattern of tiles (or gaps) defines its region's boundaries? Any help much appreciated....

Went up to a new season, got mage's tower, went to look at the rules about that, can't exit the rules with Esc or F or anything else. Going to have to lose all my progress since last save, I think. Killed game, restarted, back in Season 1. Grrrr... Note to self: exit the game frequently, seems to be the only way to save progress?...
