GOG version vs. Steam version, whats the difference?
I own the series on both steam and GOG. I noticed the steam version plays better / smoother. The 1st F.E.A.R on GOG has this odd random hitch / stutter like somethings loading in hella slow in the background. Curious if anyone else noticed it who have both copies and or if anyone knew the difference between the 2. BTW my pc is more than enough for the game.

Steam version has some useful files in extras directory - fear public tools, linux dedicated server.

Strange, for me both versions are equally smooth.
I'm running 3 240hz G-sync monitors (vsync on in NVCP, only using 1 monitor for game) tried fps caps @ 237,200, 190, 120. Still get the random hitch. What are you running yours at. If you say 60hz, 60fps that's why lol.

Playing the steam version right now, theirs def a difference. @240hz 200fps cap, the steam version is buttery smooth, I got hwinfo, Icue, Afterburner, Rivatuner, Voicemeeter, all going, n still smooth. Might have something to do with the Securom or the DRM that wasn't completely removed. I downloaded a "No CD Patch" to test my theory later. I'll update here on the results later :)

All right. Keep looking.
Lol the "No CD Patch" was a failure. Didn't even notice a difference. Took a video of the stutter / comparison.
