Finally was able to play the game... But I was met with some resistance...

But for what ever reason, I am playing at very low graphics, otherwise it stutters worse than an AK-47. It's only a year later coming out after HL2 and I can run that to the max, including the mods that make the graphics even better. Maybe it's my integrated graphics card, but still, HL2 has no issues or nothing I would consider an issue. Is there something specific as an in game option I should turn off or lower to minimal or vice versa, shaders or sync, x4 something or other, not sure of all the options, presently. Thank you.

Your integrated graphics should be more than enough to run the game. Did you check the pinned thread for solutions? You can also check the PCGamingWiki entry for FEAR for more solutions.

Have you installed the FPS Fix? you can download it here: https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/789-directinput-fps-fix/
You just need to drop the dll file inside the game's main folder.

No I had not. Just played it "out of the box" and tried to adjust several visuals. I will do so, thank you.

I had not heard of this before. Is this just for FEAR or other FPS games in general? I will look into it, thank you.
