Hey guys! Here is a small patch which fixes a few annoying bugs.

Bugfixes
Fixed a bug which caused the raised baskets in the map editor to have the basket in the wrong position.
Fixed a bug which caused the game to crash after downloading too many custom maps.
Fixed a bug which caused discs bought during long play sessions to sometimes change color between rounds.

This update makes the long awaited map editor available to all players. It lets you create your own courses, and upload them to the steam workshop. You can play custom maps both online and offline, where your own maps are available in offline mode, and downloaded maps in online mode.

Currently, you can

Create custom terrain

• Sculpt the world to your liking using simple but effective tools. Create terrain completely from scratch, or modify randomly generated terrain.

Create forests and individual trees

• Populate your course with trees.
  
• Create open fields for easy courses, or create an impossible hole with 1000 trees in the way. The map editor lets you do things the random map generator can’t do.

Place baskets and tees

• You can set the par for individual holes, and change the number of holes.

Test play as you go

• Spawn your character straight into the course while creating.

Publish your courses

• Published courses appear in the steam workshop for all players.
  
• If you don’t want to create your own courses, you can always download and play someone else's course.

Notably, a few features from the random map generator are missing, such as lakes and OB zones. Because of this, I have decided to launch the map editor as a “beta” version. It works, and is capable of creating fun maps, but it is not completely finished and may contain bugs.

In the future, I want to add these, and more features that are not available in the random map generator. For example, mandatories are difficult to randomly generate, but would be possible to create in the map editor. I also want to add more props that you can place, and possibly allow players to import their own 3D models into the map. Please leave feedback on what you would like to see added.

Oh, and before you try it. You cannot make a course with 18 point blank baskets and farm aces for the leaderboard. Stats in custom maps do not post to the leaderboard. Sorry!

Fixed a bug where OB bollards didn’t spawn in rare cases.
Fixed a bug which under (very) specific circumstances prevented players from interacting with discs or the backpack.
Fixed a bug which caused the player to end up outside the throwzone when teleporting.
Fixed a bug which caused the teleport ability to fail randomly.
Fixed a bug which caused the weekly challenge leaderboards to break when the month changes in the middle of a week (I could have predicted this would happen).
Fixed a bug which caused the leaderboards to have unnecessarily large gaps between players.
Fixed a bug which caused the weekly and daily challenge leaderboards to sometimes have incorrectly displayed scores.
Fixed a bug which prevented increase/decrease power from being bound to other keys than the scroll wheel.
Fixed a bug which sometimes caused the throw zone to be incorrectly placed when a disc goes out of bounds.
Fixed a bug which caused the pinky finger to get spasms when holding the disc at certain angles.

Hey everyone! It has now been a year since Disc Golf Online launched. It has been awesome to see so many players picking up the game and enjoying it.

To celebrate the year, and to thank all of you, I have organized a tournament. The information about the tournament can be found below, or in the Disc Golf Online Official Discord: https://discord.gg/2YubyzYdEB

The tournament will be held on 22 October, with the first game starting at 19:00 CEST / 1:00 pm EDT / 10:00 am PDT.

It will be played over three different 18-hole courses, which takes approximately three hours. Players will be split into groups of four, based on their score (lead card, chase card etc.). All three maps have already been decided, and here are the seeds:

You are welcome to practice these maps before the tournament.

Before each round, all players will be split into groups of four, based on their score (lead card, chase card etc.). The player with the best (lowest) score in each group becomes the group leader. The group leader is responsible for adding the other players in their group on steam, and inviting them to a lobby.

After each round, the group leader reports the score of the entire group. This is done by taking a screenshot of the final scorecard and sending it in discord, in the channel ⁠tournament-score-reporting. All players are recommended to take note of the final score, in case the group leader reports the wrong score for some reason. A penalty may be applied if a player cannot report their score or tries to fabricate the scores.

The first round starts at 19:00 CEST / 1:00 pm EDT / 10:00 am PDT. The groups for the first round will be announced 15 minutes before that, so all players should be ready to play by then. These 15 minutes will give you time to find the players in the same group as you, and get in a lobby together.

When all groups have finished a round and all scores have been reported, the groups for the next round are announced in discord. When this announcement is made, the next round will start in 15 minutes.

The top 3 players will receive the following unique in-game items:

1st place: Tournament shirt, tournament crown, tournament disc skin

Top 3 finishers get to choose which disc they want their tournament disc skin for.

In case that two players are tied for a spot in the top 3, the tied players will continue playing the last map until one player gets a better score on any hole.

Bug fixes
Fixed a bug which caused stats to be tracked incorrectly when playing more than one game in a row.
Fixed a bug which sometimes caused the total score to be displayed incorrectly on challenge results.

Fixed a bug which sometimes caused the terrain generation to get stuck at "deciding map layout".

Hello everyone! This update finally fixes most of the game's annoying networking quirks. Hopefully this will make the game more enjoyable to play overall. A bunch of other smaller bugs have also been fixed, and some features have been added.

Most notably, a new attempt at better disc physics has been implemented. This is aimed at improving the interactions between the disc and the ground, which has been somewhat unrealistic for a long time. Specifically, it makes the disc calm down faster after landing. As always: please leave feedback on the disc physics. I consider it the biggest advantage of this game compared to other disc golf games, and I want it to be perfect!

Networking bug fixes
Fixed a bug which sometimes (almost always) stopped stats and challenge results from being uploaded by non-hosts when playing in a group.
Fixed a bug which stopped players from exiting new lobbies after leaving or finishing a game.
Fixed a bug in multiplayer mode which sometimes caused players to spawn on different maps.

Other bug fixes
Fixed a “bug” which completely stopped the saved seeds system from working.
Fixed a bug which caused the scrollbar on the leaderboards to disappear sometimes.
Fixed a bug which caused strange UI interactions when selling equipment.
Fixed a bug which caused backpacks to be displayed incorrectly when owning more than 4 backpacks.
Fixed a bug which would crash the leaderboards if anyone over level 50 appeared on it.

Features
Improved disc-ground physics interactions.
Added circle 1 & 2 zone markers to the help markers UI (standard binding Q).
Added the stats menu. The button to open this can be found at the top left of the menu, under the profile information.
Added stat tracking for circle two putt accuracy.

Bug fixes:

Fixed a bug which caused the best game score to be incorrectly calculated and uploaded to the leaderboards (oops).
Fixed a rare bug with OB zones which could sometimes cause the player to be placed at the basket of the last completed hole.
Fixed a bug which stopped the "ding" sound from being played when hitting the lower edge of the basket.

Update 1.3 added a bad bug which could make players lose all their discs. This bug can no longer happen in the current version, but some players were still affected before it was fixed.

A small update is now live which lets me grant coins to affected users accounts.

Disabled the feature that saves disc order in backpacks between games, while investigating a bug caused by it.
