Sorry for the inconvenience! The achievement is having issues on some versions, and here's the solution:

Update/Solution:

1. Right click To the Moon from Steam library -> Property -> BETAs tab, and select "-achievement ..." from dropdown menu.
2. Change language from Languages tab temporarily to English
3. Let download, run the game, and load the Autosave near the end, and run the last sequence of the game.

Linux here,

The achivement is not being triggered. There is no Languages tab under To the moon's properties.

One strange thing is that no achievement is shown under "Personal achievement". I mean, the locked achievement is not listed, but it is in the global or while comparing achievements.

Linux here as well, didn't get the achievement (playing in english).

Congrats on the game, anyway. Thought I wouldn't enjoy it and was very pleasantly surprised

It seems the Linux version doesn't trigger the achievement (playing in English as well).

The sticky Linux/MAC FAQ mentions this (didn't look there earlier since the game runs fine on my machine - the graphics even look sharper than on win7).

For other linux users, if you also have a windows machine: copy the savegamefiles from ~/.local/share/freebirdgames/tothemoon/ to your %AppData%/to the moon - freebird games/ folder and load the autosave. You'll start on the bridge and finish the game in a couple of minutes as Reives mentions.

Apparantly there is a small bug in the couldsave on linux, after I use the trick above to get the achievement and restarted Steam on my Linux machine I now have the savegames cloned in my ~/.local/share/freebirdgames/tothemoon/to the moon - freebird games/ folder.

And since I forgot to mention it earlier: great game! The story is compelling, touching and the musical score fits perfect. The only letdown is the length of the game, but I suppose the game can't be stretched further without causing some other problems.

Well i don't have a windows machine to do your trick. Hopefully the little bug can be fixed and i can jsut get the acheivement.

I'm on Mac, no language tab and it didn't trigger either.

The windows version ran fine under wine for me, in order to unlock the achievement, having completed the game playing the linux native version.

It was necessary to copy the save game over to the wine copy (I guess the cloud sync isn't working on linux either).

Far from ideal, I know, but at least a windows machine isn't required.

Looks like on the Mac that last autosave doesn't seem to happen during the credits to unlock the acheivement. Would have to do a copy save file and load Wine/Crossover/PlayOnMac. Can also confirm cloud sync doesn't seem to be working.

Great game regardless!
Just finished the game. Wow. I mean, holy... *sigh*. Good game. Very nicely done. Still no linux achievement though, oh well, 10/10 will play again when implemented.

Just finished the game on Linux, no achievement.

Is this a bug?

Can something be done about it?
Yes, its a bug. Its almost like the question was answered almost four years ago on this very thread
