None of the "like this" suggestions are actually like this. anyone have any good suggestions for more modern games like this one?

Is it possible with mods to add limits to the number of enchantments / perks that can be added to a unit? Perks from upgrades should be unlimited, but I find the idea of "uber" lords with so many buffs that they are practically immune to all types of damage and have 10x damage a bit stupid. And then, how would the AI handle this? They are already a bit stupid when it comes to perks / enhancements....
