Customer Loyalty, CAPCOM..
It's truly sad I picked this game up day one for 70$. Didn't get Separate Ways but was charged extra for it and now, less then a year later a Gold Edition has everything for 50$. Well that will teach me! Separate Ways should be given to anyone who paid you the full asking price for this game. I guess this is why I will go back to my rule to never buy games day one.

So... you've never bought any of the modern resident evil games on steam other than this?
You mean you didn't know that capcom milk their players ? You should have known when they sold the cut content Separate ways as a 10$ DLC, it was included in the OG and Ada assignement for the full price, check the OG on steam there are no DLC.

I bought the deluxe edition for 40$, since Separate ways cost 10$ and maybe we would have Ada assignement for 10$ I would have bought them, for 60$ which is the true value of the game instead of 80$ with what they offered so far without a sale.

Learn from your mistakes and you'll be fine in the futur, also most games go on sales at some point, I bought the game for 40$ and got the same experience as someone who paid 60$/70$, buy games at full price to support devs, like I bought Palworld for 30$ and they don't try to milk players, got more hours in Palworld than RE4 remake too.
🤔

Separate Ways should of been $15, so actually you all owe them $5 :D

This must be your very first time ever seeing a special edition of a game like Gold, Game of the Year edition, etc. They tend to be more cost efficient and often include DLC or all content because, you know, the game has been out for some time.

This practice is completely normal in the industry.
Buying games at launch is always more expensive. What did you expect? I preordered and bought SW when it came out and easily got my money's worth. If you want the game at a discount, you have to be patient. That's not new.

The 70$ should have included SW to start with.
this kind of thing happens all the time, not sure why people are suprised when they can get the full game + dlc for cheaper a year past launch. lol. but yeah save your money if you want to get the game cheaper.

i bought the game at launch no dlc, do i care that this game is cheaper now? no. welcome to economics, the people who really wanted it, bought it day one, the rest who are on the fence waited for it to go get cheaper, the rest who may only buy it at a severe discount wait even longer.

OK Let me spell it out for the simple minded and the "are you still crying about this crowd". I pre-ordered this game for 70$. I understand how sales work, I understand how time passes and the game is devalued. That said for the people who can take this post seriously. When the game was released and the pre-order was for 70$ usd. Their was no mention of any DLC. I was fine with that. I agreed to pay that price for just the game and what little trinkets offered at the time. Why? I love RE4 OG. I played the demo and I loved it. I had hopes like so many others that SW would be behind the end game credits. Why? Well RE4 OG. This was not the case and so be it. Take time and develop the add-on and make it right. A bit later SW was announced. Now after supporting them at their highest price for the game, all of us CAPCOM lovers get shafted. Pay more plz (w/o the plz mind you). The 70$ pre-order should have included SW. END OF STORY! This is not a post to argue with any of you gamers. Its in hopes that maybe it could get some traction to show CAPCOM to do better. Not take advantage of the very ppl that put them in the place they are now. They themselves have shown the "FULL GAME" is only worth 50$usd. I'd pay 60$ for it but sadly I paid 70$ and I don't have SW. This tells me to not buy their games day one anymore and I usually do not buy game day one. I made the exception for this game and it has been the first game in a few years I bought day one. The last game I bought day one was CP2077, it was refunded and I haven't looked back on that game. So again CAPCOM I supported you. I do not have access to SW. I have learned my lesson, Thank you.
It's called the "Buy Now" tax.

When you buy a game on release, you're paying extra to be the first to play it, this is not new to Resident Evil, or Capcom, or gaming in general.

There is a real player incentive to pony up and pay they "Buy Now" tax, and that's to avoid spoilers, gain a competitive edge if it's a PvP game, or chase views and subscribers if you're a streamer. If you don't care about being first, or any of the other things, then there's no reason to buy a game day one.

Learn patience and wait for a lower price with more content, if you're too excited and need the game on release, then KNOW that you're paying the "Buy Now" tax.

Why? The Deluxe added new weapons and costumes that weren't present in the original game. Had nothing to do with Separate Ways. That aside, Separate Ways is vastly expanded compared to what it was in the original game. It's an entirely new campaign with new areas and its own set of challenges and unlockables.

If you didn't feel the Deluxe was worth it's price, wait for a discount (or buy on GMG.)
