I found a hint for this puzzle but im still lost
the handy book?? says

"The number represented by the symbol at one end of each wire will correspond to the number represented by the symbol at theother end of that wire"
how do i know what number symbol means?

Equivalent = same in value.

For instance;
A triangles plus a half triangle = 1½
A hexagons plus a half hexagon = 1½
Thus, 1½ = 1½

A semicircle minus another semicircle are equal to zero.
Thus, it connects to the empty board without any symbol on it. Zero = nothing = empty

┐ (symbol) are equal to 6 (number).
Why? Because the shape has six(6) sides.

You can solve the rest following this matter.
The puzzle might not make sense to you at first, but try look closer.

I still confuse on this puzzle. Why ↓ 2 equal to a dot, not equal to ↑1 ↓3?

↓ 2 can be connected to either ↑1 ↓3 or ●
But if ↓ 2 connected to ↑1 ↓3, then ▌▌▌▌÷ ▌▌got nothing connected to.

I feel like that specific match was very poorly designed (possibly even a mistake) and made this the only puzzle I had to look up the solution to.

Connecting ↓ 2 to ↑1 ↓3 makes perfect logical sense.

Connecting ↑1 ↓3 to ▌▌▌▌÷ ▌▌ makes "OK" sense... but what makes it any more logical than connecting ↓ 2 to ▌▌▌▌÷ ▌▌? It is because each section is made up of 2 parts?

Connecting ↓ 2 to ● only makes sense if you take that into account... The 2 is meaningless and only relates to the single dot in terms of being a single number.

As I said ↓ 2 can be connected to both, they're perfect match.
Btw, you know why ↓ 2 = ●, rite?

I don't? This was the only part that I couldn't really explain mathematically. Why the 2 and dot? Is that limes and infinity, something like that?

Don´t get 2 and dot either. Also, why 7 and 6? And square and "sun-three dots"?

It took me way too long to figure this out, but:
↓x = "1 less than x"
↑x = "1 more than x"

So ↓2 = 1, and ↓3 = ↑1 = 2.

One dot = 1.
▌▌▌▌÷ ▌▌ = 4x ÷ 2x = 2.

So ⅂ matches up with 6 because ⅂ has 6 sides...but hexagon+pentagon = triangle+triangle because that actually is 1½ = 1½ and we're not counting sides anymore......buuuut square = 7triangles-3circles because we're actually counting the sides of the square but not the sides of the triangles.

wth is the logic here?

1. ◖=½, ◖◖◖-●=½??? but according to the logic isn't it 3-1=2??
2. ▮▮▮▮/▮▮=2, "↑1↓3" doesn't it means 2+2=4?? or +1-3=-2?? what's this logic??
3. ⅂ = 6 . how the hell this equals 6?? I though we were talking about equivalent
4. ■ = ▴▴▴▴▴▴▴-●●●, so r we counting the amount of sides?
