This is all the flags that are in the game by default. Good news, this means they didn't get your countries flag wrong. Because like most of the countries on the planet it wasn't there to begin with .

Well in fairness the Egyptian and Iraqi flag are identical in terms of their color/overall design but my point still stands: the names and soldiers that come from "Egypt" are not at all Egyptian, unlike say soldiers from other parts of the Mediterranean like Greece/Italy.
I had an "Egyptian" soldier with the surname Kaiser. So unless the fictional world of 2015 that XCOM imagines the Germans took over Egypt after WW2 I don't see how Kaiser is even remotely an Arabic name.
Edit: maybe I shouldn't say "not at all" but Egypt's soldier pool seems to be far broader in terms of names/ethnicities compared to most other countries' soldiers. It's just very weird and ideosyncratic that it made me think one of the devs got confused.
