All I can ask is how the hell did this game get a "Very Positive" review base? I have played many survival games including but not limited to ARK, Green Hell, Minecraft, Empyrion, Planet Crafter, Stationeers and many many more. Survival games are my favourite kind of games so if there is a new survival game out I really want to try it and boy did I try it. All I can say is this is not it... Where is the immersion? Like chopping down a tree, ohhh no you have to press button and go to a menu then select how much you want from said tree then wait after a loading bar then after time skips your stuff appears in your inventory... Where is the immersion? Why does it take 4-5 crabs to HALF fill my food bar? If I ate an entire crab IRL it would probably fill me up. I will be taking my refund please and thank you. Do not buy this game. There are so many better survival games out there.

I'll start out by saying that I have many thousands of hours in survival crafting games with 3300 in Ark alone, so I am used to, and even enjoy a certain level of jank and grind.

That said, this is not it.

The movement is bafflingly bad. Why am I slowly sliding across the beach with no input? Is my controller on and drifting? Nope, it's turned off, and yet here I am, slowly sliding.

Gathering resources, as others have said, is a matter of walk up to a tree, rock pile, whatever, enter a menu, sleect how many of the resource you want, which tool to use and wait, skipping time.

The crafting menu itself is fine, but again, it's more click click, wait while time skips.

Why does it skip an hour to pull some sticks off a tree? I could walk outside right now and pull 3 sticks from a tree and be back here before my seat is even cold.

I see in another review the dev responded saying that the skipping time was a design choice to somehow make micromanaging time better? I'm not sure how that works.

If you like survival crafting games, go find another one. If you like allegedly story-based menu-driven to-do list simulators, then maybe this one's for you.

Too tedious.

It's an exploration crafting game like all the other thousands out there, except this one has very little interaction. Chopping down trees is just a matter of pressing a key and committing to it, while waiting an allotted amount of time. I'm not going to lie; it's stupid. I play a lot of survival crafting games and this one is just too clunky, too tedious. The trouble it takes to go through just to make a bow, seems hellish to make a base. I'll pass. Other better games out there.
