If you're like me and was just want to enjoy the story without the puzzles, then look no further. Thanks to @GamerRoman in the guides section, they've found out that to skip trials you have to use the backspace key. The number 1 key DOES NOT work anymore. Hope this helps anyone struggling with the gameplay.

Just a quick note: I do recommend still trying the puzzles. They can be fun but unfortunately for someone like me, I just didn't enjoy solving them as I found the story to be a lot more intriguing. I'd say give it a shot at the puzzles and if you don't like em, or find them to be too difficult, (or for whatever reason) the skip button is a great option.

Another helpful tip: Hold CTRL to go 2x as fast.
