I discovered it by accident. All you need to do is press '1' on the number row (numpad doesn't work) . This will instantly remove the magic lock on the door of whatever puzzle room you're in, allowing you to proceed to the next room. The puzzles are the meat and potatoes of the gameplay so I highly recommend trying to solve the puzzles on your own the first time, but feel free to skip puzzles you've already done on different playthroughs. Hey, I'm hoping the developer reads this and is interested in fixing it. I've beaten the game and started on New Game Plus to get the other endings, but the game almost immediately softlocks upon entering the first memory room.
