Looking for help on puzzles
The story of the game had really drawn me in and I would really like to know how this would end, but unfortunately I'm really not talented in puzzle solving. I had managed finish one major event and came to the third arc, but the difficulty of the puzzles are really rising over my capability. I've attempted a few times, but even the supposedly weak trials are costing me essence of passion. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to finish the game even with all the essence of passion available. Would someone be so kind as to post a guide to the later puzzles?

I know this is late and you probably don't need help anymore, but you can skip puzzles by pressing '1' on the number row (numpad doesn't work). I just made a post about it here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/1960890/discussions/0/3811783679192547585/.

If anyone else ever ends up looking for advice, and wants to solve them the legit way:

  • If you have pawns or rooks, check what pieces they can reach first - they're pretty limited in most puzzles, so they're quick to figure out. Also, bear in mind that chess pawns can skip over blocks in the second row

  • Otherwise go over the pieces on the board one by one. Look at them, and try to trace back the path a particular piece - say, a knight or a bishop - would have to take in order to reach them. Start from the end - where the target piece sits - and go back to the start. That way you can quickly figure out which of your pieces can't capture a particular targetpiece (e.g because there are blocks in the way), and from which tile you need to send them into what direction. Rinse and repeat for every piece on the board - if multiple pieces could take a target, you'll have to play around a bit to figure out the correct order.
It's a bit of a handful if you have knights, admittedly, but that's the kind of game it is. Get those grey cells working :D!

  • I usually trace with a finger or my eyes, but you could theoretically take a screenshot and use paint to draw lines, or draw a board on a sheet of papwer with a pencil and eraser. Probably too much effort for most, but hey, some people do better with visual aids.

  • Gotta be patient.

This information is outdated. The developer removed the "skip" feature and replaced it with easy mode.
