Hidden gem!

This game truly surprised me in many ways. The lore is deeper than I expected for this kind of title, the gameplay makes you feel immersed in the life of a colony cat, the characters are charming and the portraits are just gorgeous! But what really hooked me was the cozy and enchanting soundtrack — I even saved the album on Spotify.

In short, you play as the leader of a cat colony and manage everything that comes with it: hunting, foraging, fighting, mining, and more. It’s extremely fun, though it can feel repetitive at times.

Also, getting all the achievements doesn’t require insane grinding or absurd challenges. It’s very doable if you enjoy the flow of the game.

My biggest letdowns were the endgame, which doesn’t really bring anything new beyond what you’ve already been doing, and the daily tasks that can get too repetitive. If a sequel ever comes, I hope these aspects get expanded.

That said, Cattails: Wildwood Story is a heartwarming game full of care and soul. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it — a cozy experience that left me smiling.

Definately one of my favorite cat themed games! grew up on alot of warrior cat, so this was a dream for that little me who alwasy seeked out something like this!

Pros:

- The pixel graphics are crisp and clear, and some controls have been improved.
- Love the decorations, farming, mining, choosing your attacks and getting to know the other clan members.
- Fun choosing your cat avatars features, coat color, body type and name.
- This updated game came a long way from the first one, that's for sure!

Cons:

- Don't get killed when you're carrying a bunch of valuable stuff. You will lose a chunk of your bag when you get revived.
