Really wanted to like this but if you were expecting to explore a realistic lidar point cloud, this isn't it (for now at least). It just paints dots on a world of invisible assets, so if something moves after being scanned, the dots move with it. Defeats the purpose of the mechanic, as if it were done to be realistic you would have to scan again to tell if the item has moved or not (which would better suit the game and genre)

This is genuinely one of the coolest concepts I've ever seen in a game, and it's just so well executed. I'm only a mission in but I really want to give this game another positive review because it's just that unique. The atmosphere is otherworldly and icy, and the music/soundscapes are great so far. As an added bonus, you can use the LIDAR gun to draw dirty things when you turn its spread down to the minimum level, which has been a lot of fun for the immature part of my mind so far. Looking forward to experiencing more of this one.
