No. Words simply aren’t enough to explain it. This review needs a ‘KEEP YOUR CASH’ option. I have never felt the need to track how much time I had left before I couldn’t refund a game—until now. I was hoping something in those 120 minutes would hook me, that I’d find some reason to keep playing. ANYTHING. I tapped out at 90 minutes. That should tell you everything.

This isn’t Life is Strange. It’s a cash grab by new developers designed to bait Max-Chloe shippers into spending FIFTY BUCKS while completely missing what made the original game so special. The first Life is Strange was NOT a romance story—it was a deeply emotional, mysterious, and immersive experience where relationships grew naturally, with player choice shaping how things unfolded. Double Exposure doesn’t care about ANY of that. It drowns you in forced interactions, awkward romance, and shallow LGBTQ encounters within literal minutes of starting the game.

It’s a huge middle finger to longtime fans like me—since 2015. Don’t support this garbage. I beg you.

Beautiful character designs, a crazy talented cast, and incredible visuals... just for the story line to go absolutely nowhere. What could've been an amazing sequel to Max's adventures ended in a massive question mark. Her shift in powers were never explained, nor did they contain any substance, and overall felt very rushed. Speaking of rushed - I've never seen such a quick story line for a Life is Strange game before! On top of that, why were there maybe, like, a small handful of areas we could actually explore? You know, the main thing LIS is known for? For the sake of our eyes, please let this be the last addition to the franchise - True Colors was the perfect ending!!
