This is not new news for those who have been following since day 1. This game was announced in 2016 and was able to be wish-listed about 2022 if I recall correctly. This game will never be released and I think the studio is probably closed on deserted. No way they even have money left to pay free students after all this time.

I loved Starbound and I love their pixel art and music. This looks gorgeous and the 3/4 perspective makes it stand out from other cozy games. Have they been radio silent for so long that people are giving up on the game? :(

They just did a little snippet about this game on the PC game show today. Totally thought this game was dead. Good to see that it's still happening.
