with addons like SourceIO being a thing now, there's even less reason to use SFM.
SFM is a lot more easier to use than Blender, personally.
That doesn't make SFM obsolete, you can make stuff with a such incredible quality as Blender, but it will be a torture due to its limitations.
it would be good for a starter animation website, and it's easier to import models into, but...

Move to blender. Or, hell, even roblox.
I've tried many animation sites, both 2D and 3D, and blender is one of the easiest to use. Well, except for it's outdated texturing
Does Blender provide guides on how to do anything?
However, Blender just can't get that source engine feel at least some of us love so much.
