Bunch of bugfixes! Mostly a lot of small stuff. Also, if you went all in on Roland and now have to fight him, the duration of the kneel command has been capped at 10 turns so you don't end up with whatever huge number I have seen some players up there. :'D

A question about battles...

Is there a REASON to bother engaging with enemies or is it better to just race past them to whatever objective you are after, as they do not seem to award materials, gold or exp of any variety, from what I have seen in my very limited playthrough. Not complaining mind you just want to know how to best adjust my time spent....

Heyho!

Some people reported issues of game crashes when steam would try to trigger an achievement.

We were able to identify two possible cases where this can happen and fixed them - I hope that these fixes will cover the crashes for everyone who had them. The most common case seemed to be when starting the Game.exe from the steam folder instead of using the steam client.

I hope we are doing everything 1000% the Steam way now, but due to my inexperience of creating working with the Steam API, I cannot promise that we covered all of our bases.

There is a second bugfix here for a potential lock that would prevent certain Earth scenes from triggering. But in the reporter used a cheated save and I wasn't able his issue on a test playthrough, so I don't think it's possible to replicate the state in an uncheated state. But if someone else did somehow manage to suffer the same issue, the implementation is more robust now.

Unpopular opinion lewd branch on normal feels like speedrun

where u need to push specific world content and to know game mechanics to get progress in real world to be able to survive, otherwise somewhere around after festival u will realise that it's lost whatever u do and it's just a matter of a week. it's my third restart and i feel like i'm just geting whats going on....

GOLD STANDARD in the corruption genre. I played this on itch when it was incomplete and free, and I absolutely owe the Dev(s?) my money - they have earned it!!

The concept is fantastic, being bad is GOOOOOD, and you feel like you have earned every milestone. For me, the connection I feel with the characters makes me want to go through and play a purity run, for them!

Advice: play normal difficulty.

What I thought playing hard mode was going to be:
- more likely to be partially corrupted
- less likely to have a boring playthrough where nothing sexual happens because it's too easy to always do the right thing

What hard mode is:
- a horrible tedious slog where even the real-world corruption plot doesn't progress because it's waiting for you to finish quests in the fantasy world
- a spiral where things really feel crushing and overbearing, and despite brief moments of getting a grip on things, almost seem to just get more and more difficult as the game continues
- nothing sexy happening for, well, practically 25 hours because progression is so slow (at 25 hours, the lewd stuff is just now getting past groping and kissing)

Also, yes, you need to install a patch. I didn't know that until I was FOUR hours in though.

I'm a patient person, but I almost rage-quit after the story line demanded that I spend 7 turns of a boss fight preparing my ultimate attack, only to have the main character killed in one hit despite me assigning other characters to guard her and her having full health and a defensive stance. There was literally nothing I could do to win that fight other than repeat the entire thing and pre-prepare for the battle in a way that I only ever would have rationally done if I knew what was about to happen. Sorry, but that's bull****. The *flow* of the entire game is woefully ****ed in hard mode. Just don't do it. It's such a terrible experience *it shouldn't even be an option*.

All of that said, I think this is likely a great game in normal mode. I've been reading the dev's blogs on Patreon for a year, and they are insightful and it's clear that a great deal of care was placed into the story.

I will, at some point, beat it, I'm sure. But at 25 hours and just barely scratching the surface of the game , I think I need to set it down for a while. I should feel excitement, not trepidation, at seeing more quests open up and the world map expand. I don't though. I'm just the incarnation of fear for how much of a slog this may continue to be, and while I can change my difficulty at any time, that's not going to compensate my character's stats or monetary situation for how long I've spent playing hard mode. I just... honestly. RPG Maker fights are not fun. Don't act like they're fun. Don't make me do this pointless work. I'm not playing your game because I want to fight the same set of monsters ten times in a row inputting the exact same strategy that worked for me the first time. Less combat, more story please.

This game is really quite something, i would even venture saying it's in a category of its own.

Lets get the usual out of the way, if you want the "action" due to Steam regulations that the devs are in no way able to control or modify, you would need to get the patch from dev site and apply it on your own (Two additional notes on this: 1) these patches usually expect the installation folder to be default settings, if you changed those make sure to apply them on the actual directory you chose. 2) if the game goes through an update, you will need to repeat the process as of now)

The game would enter into the corruption category, but as many others probably have mentioned this is a very intricate and slow progressing corruption. And even though that's accurate, the level of intricacy of the standard game-play it's enough to set it apart on it's own. The experience has been carefully mastercrafted into an amazing development that starts to unfold one tiny bit at a time.
Also bare in mind there's a lot of text read, because again, the whole experience has been refined and tailored as you start to get info about different bits and pieces of the whole plot in both places. Even something as seemingly meaningless as what would superficially be "an annoying laugh" is put there on purpose and not without a reason (to avoid spoilers you will need to progress and find out on your own as you play, but don't initially dismiss it as some random annoying laugh... ;) )

Also a fair notice, it is not an easy game, there is no way to farm or overpower yourself like you would killing and farming monsters. As far as i have seen, nothing respawns, and everything would be considered limited resource. So if you play intended difficulty or above, do keep that in mind since you will probably need to get the hang of the game and maybe restart it after playing a couple of days and getting a hold of things and mechanics.

To me this has been an amazing experience, the gameplay is great on it's own, the approach on how to take the sense of self apart seen here feels fresh and so unique. Props to the dev for such a detailed amazing work

If anything, i would say that for the "sexy" part, the lack of additional variatons and events being so apart from each other denotes lack of buildup in most cases. There's also no repeatable or combat actions from what i've seen, more push and content on that front with less spacing or repeatable actions would make for a more natural flow of things and keep a thread instead of feeling like very distant isolated actions that can damage engagement

All in all, great game in any form, something that really takes you by surprise (and I know it wont be everybody's cup of tea.... since the difficulty spike is real, I think the easy mode difficulty prevent the game over bad end so you can play leisurely if that's more your pace)

I recommend to give it a try, kudos to the dev!

About pure run in Nightmare?

It's a good game,i like it. And I have some question about pure run. Is it possible to complete the pure run on Nightmare difficulty without using NG+? If it's not possible, then I will change it to reduce corruption as much as possible. Compared to Lewd scenes, I now enjoy studying how to maximize benefits with limited resources and time......

What's present in the game WITHOUT the patch?

I played this game a good long while ago on Itch.io, and while I liked the mechanics (when I wasn't incredibly frustrated at them because I'm a stubborn mule playing on the highest difficulty), I couldn't stand the adult content, mostly due to the main character being far too young for my preferences (yes I'm sure she's legal, but "barely legal" is a bit too bare, you know?)
