nice game, very cool gameplay. Only missing really good music. Waiting for more :)

I am a diehard boomer shooter gamer, and am happiest when playing Brutal Doom on my Steam Deck. I’ve played a lot of modern boomer shooters but this one seems to come closest to recreating that same experience.

First off, this game runs really well on Steam Deck. I can easily get 60 fps with minimal settings changes. I’m sure it can run at a higher frame rate but I’m capping it at 60 for a smoother experience.

The visuals and sound design in this game are awesome. The guns are weighty and chunky, and things you’d shoot them with will be reduced to gibs appropriately.

The gameplay feels like a cross between doom and quake. I love the “imps” that throw fireballs. There are larger, tankier enemies too. The challenge level feels about right, not too easy, but it feels fair when I die.

I’m excited how awesome this game is already, does not feel like an early access game at all. I’ve played many finished games that don’t even come close to this one. Also really excited about a level editor, which means extended replay in this awesome sandbox.

Can’t wait to play this more, and trying it on harder difficulty.
