I recommend this with caution. If you're an OG Poptropica player, it is disappointing because it lacks most of the classic islands that we enjoyed playing during our childhood. For the people looking into buying this product to play their old nostalgic islands, I DO NOT recommend this game. However, if you're like me and you're content to play the game and enjoy solving the newer mysteries that they have to offer now (which are, in my opinion, still very good, just not as nostalgic), then I do recommend it. If you remember your old username and password, you can also log in and play on your old Poptropican accounts which was a suuuper big plus to me.
I do think it is worth the price. I've played many other games that were more expensive than this one that had a lot less game play. There are no adds in this version, so they can no longer afford to offer the game for free. For the amount of hours of game play that's included, $20 is not an awful price.
Another word of caution, I've noticed that a lot of people cannot play the game because of an error on their loading screen. I haven't had that issue, but that doesn't mean another person wouldn't. For me the game has been pretty smooth sailing, except for some errors with my purchases in the store for both my character and my pets (Sometimes those purchases disappear, or the pet store wont work). However, for me the benefits still outweigh the disadvantages.
