Failed to initialize Steamworks API

Whenever I open the game it says that I need to sign in to steam to play, but I'm already logged in.

Try restarting the game a couple times. This happens sometimes on the first play-through due to the time it takes to install the different Steam Requisites such as Visual Studio Redist, etc.
