What I would describe Elypse as is Celeste but with some combat. The main focus is on the platforming, but there are enemies that are placed around the rooms that might also attack you. Because I'm a guy who prefers combat over platforming, that made it a better time than Celeste.
The story was cool and the visual style was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing.
If you like platforming and you like combat, I'd recommend this.
I've seen reviews that spoke of checkpoints and their distance apart. I personally didn't find problem with the distances, so it's probably up to player's opinion on what's too far and not.

Great platformer, if you like ori you'll like this.

I think the story is very lacking though, doesn't really grab you in and feels very cliche.

The movement system is very creative and extremely smooth. I never felt like I got fked by hitboxes or janky sht.

Would've liked to see other secrets or collectibles outside of the main power-ups.
