Playtest Patch 0.1.4 🛠️ and upcoming Demo

Greetings, your Grace! 👑

All good things come to an end someday, and this also applies to our Playtest. On Monday morning, the gates of Rodovia will close as we shift our focus to analyzing key insights that will guide the future development of Crown of Greed.

But don't worry - we have two exciting updates to brighten the mood! 🤩

1. Based on your feedback, we have just published the last, fourth Patch for the game

2. We are happy to announce that... you will soon have another opportunity to play the game, this time in the Demo version!

We’ll share all the details about the Demo version in a dedicated announcement, but for now, we just want you to know what's coming next 📣 Stay tuned for more updates!

Playtest Patch 0.1.4 Notes:

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed a bug that caused respawned workers to be blocked after being killed while working
• Fixed a bug that caused a huge number of enemies hidden in the fog of war to block workers
• Fixes to the Scouting order contract, fixes to the operation of order contracts
• Fixed translation issues occurring after changing the language of the game
• The option to open the ended contract panel has been disabled

Improvements:

• Added a new traits tooltip to the character panel
• Added new tooltips to order flags
• Improvements to the interaction of newly constructed buildings and environmental elements

Balance:

• Increase the berserker's fight-engage range

Keep in mind that this is only a "work-in-progress" version of the game, the main goal of which is to present the overall concept of this project and its novelties. Remember, that at this stage you may encounter some bugs and problems, as the title is still in development. Crown of Greed is sure to receive numerous patches, most of them based on your feedback.

Playtest Patch 0.1.3 🛠️

Two Patches for the Playtest version are already behind us, but we are not slowing down! Today we have prepared another, third Patch, which continues our mission to polish and improve the Crown of Greed project.

New players from all over the world are constantly joining our Playtest, and their feedback allows us to plan our next steps 📜 And so, without further ado, let's check what changes await us in the latest update.

Playtest Patch 0.1.3 Notes:

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed a bug that caused monsters to hide in their habitats too soon after combat
• Fixed contract panel closing when any non-targeted contract was completed
• Fixed a bug that caused a player to be unable to open the habitat panel when his contract panel was open
• Fixes to the Marketplace and the Heroes' equipment. Now, heroes can't own more than 1 stack of a single item
• Toggling technology tooltips in the Building Panel has been fixed, and they now display the required gold status properly
• Fixes to other technology related tooltips

Improvements:

• Additional events for high difficulty levels
• In the Blacksmith panel, all technologies are now visible (but blocked if the player does not meet the requirements)
• Treasure chest models are now bigger

Balance:

• Adjustments to gold generation in buildings (reduced in all buildings, increased in Trading Posts)
• Undead Warrior, Crossbowman and Captain are now stronger
• Rogue agility stat is now nerfed (lower chance to dodge)
• Heroes now stay in combat longer and start running away after losing more health points than before

Playtest Patch 0.1.2 🛠️

Another day, another Patch to the game! Our entire team is doing its best to respond to your reports as quickly as possible and implement appropriate fixes to the Crown of Greed Playtest. We still receive a huge amount of feedback, which helps us a lot in our task to polish the game, so keep it coming, ok?

Today we managed to get rid of several bugging bugs (pun intended) and introduce many improvements, including a new, very important option - difficulty levels. Let's take a look 👀

Playtest Patch 0.1.2 Notes:

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed a bug that caused heroes belonging to a group to get stuck in a city
• Fixed a bug that caused heroes to get stuck in the Market
• Fixed a bug that caused the entire map to be cleared from the fog of war
• Fixed an issue that caused heroes not to perform the scouting missions
• Fixed an issue that caused the notification list to block or stutter
• Fixes to the re-built buildings' prices
• Bear material fix

Improvements:

• Adjustments to the tier 3 towers prices
• Adjustments to enemies' habitats health points
• Developed technologies disappear from the forge panel
• Added a new button that allows to return to the previous panel in the castle panel
• Heroes can't own more than 1 stack of a single item (e.g., a maximum of 8 potions)
• The task panel is now more clear
• Buttons in the upper right corner of the screen are easier to read

Balance:

• Added an option that allows players to change the difficulty of the game
• Health Potion now has a shorter cooldown
• Spells range increased
• Spells power increased
• Reduced threat levels to enemies and their habitats
• Guards are now more durable (increased HP)
• Some character models have been enlarged
• Monster attack waves are now slightly weaker, but some monsters deal additional damage
• Increased cooldown between attacks of some monsters
• Heroes now need less time to learn new skills

Some feedback about the playtest

It looks pretty good so far, i didn't see any major problems but it seems it's 1-2 years away from being released. I am a huge fan of majesty 2 and i immediatly noticed the resemblance even before knowing anything about the game. I played for about 30 minutes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0N6OpYFF6E I have 3 main concerns: 1) UI is bad, it needs a major redesign, including the minimap 2) It's too much of a clone to the point where it removed or toned down features, i am afraid it won't have anything ori...

i can see majesty being mentioned everywhere

but is this going to be more like mjesty 1 or 2? it is very important to set expectations right, because small details could end up being crucial for success. both games had stronger and weaker aspects, but essentially: majest 1 was trying to be fantasy kingnom sim, while 2nd game ended up being more like tower defence (constantly charging enemies and some critical buildings were built in fixed positions). so which one is it?...
