Has anyone been able to get 5.1 surround working after connecting the dock to their tv via hdmi and then tv to Sonos arc using e-arc?

This set up works for my ps5 but I only get 2 channel audio from my deck/dock even after it is assigned to 5.1 in desktop mode. I had this working back in Feb/March but after a road trip and re-plugging and perhaps an update it doesn't work anymore.
