What did support say this time?
You need to contact support
I just got my Steamdeck and my dock. First time it worked fine, did a software update and I could easily play. Now I just have a black screen. Tried everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. Tested all HDMI connectors, spent a lot of time resetting my TV, nothing worked.
I'm disappointed to say the least.
They’ll probably tell him what they told me. Make sure the firmware is updated and reset the dock by unplugging all cables for at least 10 seconds.
Literally the only solution at this time is to unplug the PSU until signal is detected, then plug back in.
The support RMA my dock
I got an answer from Steam Support:
Hello,
Thank you for reporting these issues.
We do have a known bug with HDMI ports and what you've described has some of the symptoms. I am forwarding your comments on to the corresponding department.
The Steam Deck team is actively working on making sure we can provide support for as many peripheral options as possible. We're shipping frequent updates and fully expect Steam Deck Docking Station's compatibility to grow steadily over time.
Additionally, if you wish to share an opinion, suggestion, or idea with the community as well, please visit the the Steam Dock Discussion forums.
This forum is regularly read by Valve's development team.
I apologize for any inconvenience this situation may have caused you.
Steam Support
They didn’t offer to RMA mine. They just said congrats, you discovered a bug, and told me to post it here.
Mine didint connect to the deck
No firmware update
USB port wasnt working, ethernet, displayport
The website that Steam Support gave me was
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/4C18-08B5-DEC9-3AF4
I unplugged my device, switched to desktop mode and opened up the display settings. I then connected the dock and used my deck screen to configure there screen set up, setting my TV to primary device. It is now working again.
