Storage Activity LED for Steam Deck 2 Please
I just would like to get this out there for Valve to consider on the Steam Deck 2. I want it to have a LED that shows whether or not there is read or write activity on the internal ssd. I know it sounds crazy, but I have come to really miss those activity led's on computers of all kinds. But I find that it really miss it and I think it would be extra useful on the Steam Deck. I have been tinkering around with mine a lot and an activity led would tell me multiple things.

For example, when I connect it to the dock and both screens are black, what's it doing, is it on, is it thinking, is it frozen? I just can't tell. The fan is usually spinning so slow I can't hear it. The charge light always turns on when I plug it in, so that doesn't tell me if it's on or not.
That leads me to another thing I noticed, there is no power LED. So again, if it is acting up and there is nothing on the screen, I often can not tell if it is on.
A activity LED would solve both problems. If it is flashing, I can be pretty sure that the steam deck is on, and now I know it is doing something so I should wait.

There is an activity LED, it’s just internal. You can see it with a clear shell.

Good to know for future reference, Thank you! But I don't want to open my deck up until something breaks. And I don't really want to buy a different back for it.
Where is it exactly? On the ssd? or next to it? maybe a strategically placed hole in the back would work.
For the next iteration of the Steam Deck, Ideally I would like to see a activity led that is viewable without taking the deck apart. Make it hidden on the back in the vents for all I care, just so that it is visible when I need it.
