Was super excited to play the game because it was verified, but playing 10mn tells you that clearly the game doesn't run well on the Steam Deck, and the worst part of it is that whenever I put the Steam Deck in sleep mode and then turn it on again to play some more, the game freeze and ALWAYS crash after, meaning you lose any progression.
The game also runs pretty bad and crashes a lot. This is not in a playable state, especially the freeze and crash after putting the SD in Sleep mode.
I tried Proton 7, Proton 6 and Proto experimental and it's the same for every version.
Mouse input, either through trackpad or touchscreen, doesn't work as intended. I frequently have to doubletap/doubleclick buttons because clicks aren't registering, and the cursor position doesn't seem to update correctly; I frequently tap on buttons only for completely different buttons to activate instead. With the touchscreen, I think the cursor is clicking down on its last known position, instead of the place you actually touch.
These behaviors aren't present when playing on Windows.
Do you mean "unsupported" or "untested"
Unsupported means the game is verified not to work, this might be due to anticheat (Destiny2) or just not playable for another reason
"untested" just means it hasn't been verified yet. This may take time depending on the back log, if the developer has manually requested verification, etc.
I'd be surprised if a game in the "unsupported" category is actually playable. Do you have an example of this?
And its already debunked.
I mean Unsupported. I know the difference. I am a first Wave 512 owner and have played a great many titles thus far and even tested games on this forum at the request of future Deck owners. So give people some credit on terminology :) I am referring to a title marked as Unsupported yet multiple users, myself included have played Ghost of a Tale with no modifications. Default install, the game starts and plays perfectly. I am not at the end of the game yet but after 6 hours it has played without an issue. And as I said, multiple users have stated this and no one has reported it wouldn't run correctly on their Deck.

The game (native Linux version) does not recognize Steam Deck as controller. It prompts you to press keyboard button to start (Return/Enter) and in Options the Controller option is greyed out.
Something definitely went wrong with Prince of Persia: https://store.steampowered.com/app/13600/Prince_of_Persia_The_Sands_of_Time/
- Does not support the Steam Deck controller, only works with a community profile that maps to keyboard controls. So there is no analogue input from the sticks
- Needs to use the mouse shortcut/touch to navigate the menu's
- Needs to manually bring up the keyboard to input a profile name
- Shows keyboard instead of controller glyphs
Elite Dangerous is listed as Unsupported, but it's running perfectly fine for me and a few other influencers on youtube. If at least a Playable status since you need to click on a launcher. Took this 20min+ footage earlier of its playability.

You can't start the game. Start button won't work and you can't remap it either. Please fix this.
