I've been passively keeping up with the difficulty arguments, and whilst playing on Baron difficulty, I've had some issues, but none insurmountable... Until the final boss. He gets something like 4-6 actions per turn and is putting out un-healable, un-mitigatable damage. Regardless of whether I stop the ritualists or kill the extra NPCs first. Normal game difficulty. "Normal" mission difficulty. The enemies are just flatly using gear one level higher, are armored to the hilt and are just HP sponges. Nothing "normal" in the mission. Balance on world mission is still a ♥♥♥♥ up. While story missions are just a easy breath. As you take lower levels on easy or normal missions you clearly see it is balanced around your highest level soldiers meaning going on a easy mission with level 2-4 guys you are confronted with guys only a bit lower...

I'm in the kill the archpriest mission. All going well. Got him down to 45HP. Probably going to kill him next turn. But when I press end turn, the game crashes to desktop. I've tried reloading saves, moving my guys around, changing various bits. But every time, it crashes. I can't progress. Anyone else had this? Is there a fix?...

So things are done... First of all I have to say that I also thought 2 weeks ago that this game is too hard and the difficulty is insane... But after starting 2 new runs I can say... the game is balanced ok, on normal difficulty at the end it even was a little bit too easy... But there is one thing, which is the most important in that game - if you follow it you even will succeed on highest difficulty without much problems: Level up your domain and your soldiers and their weapons skills BEFORE you proce...
