Halloween Song Contest

Last month's Halloween Song Contest on the ODDADA Discord server was a real treat! We were blown away by all the spooky tunes you created. Special shoutout to our winners:

Thing you can add:

I would like the game to have some things including: 1st a ship system so with the new update you can ship to your friends, so basically you can ship it. 2nd copy system, you can copy the cassette tapes, also this would be useful if you choose to add shipping. Lastly maybe money? so you can buy stuff. These are just ideas that you can add....

I can't echo the things that other reviews have said loudly enough.
The minimal UI and exposition invokes the feeling of walking through an interactive exhibit or a toy store. I found the instruments instantly engaging, and within a few minutes, I was layering together songlets that felt handcrafted and yet surprising in their complexity, all without a thought toward music theory or logic. I was just pulling levers and putting birds on houses. And then there's designing the cassette art, which is just the cherry on top!

I initially played on Steam Deck, where the scale of things made precise placement using the touchscreen a bit tricky, but there is joystick cursor support as well.

Buy it here so the devs can bring it to more platforms :)

Halloween Update + Song-Contest

Hello everyone!! We're excited to announce to you the ODDADA Halloween Update 🎃

Not only does this upgrade include a small content update with:

a new spooky scale
2 new sound pieces
3 new stickers

But also:

We are launching a Halloween Song Contest on our Discord server starting today, on the 27th of October, until the 3rd of November!

There's 3 prizes to be won - in the form of Steam gift cards - in the following 3 categories:

🎃 = most spooky (10€)
🌈 = most creative (10€)
🎹 = banger award (10€)

Game bug

Not sure what happened, but since the last update the game is stuck on recording box with the door open and no train. Needs more ways to add pauses.

Some instuments, like the new 8-pin digletts, can't make pauses between sounds and it just becomes a wall of noise, ruining every attempt at beat and structure. Also I think we need to have at least a 2-part recording system for most of the instruments, because 1-bar intsruments clash with 4-bar ones, and with two variations of 1-bar it will be at least somewhat dynamic instead of, again, wall of noise....

hello, I bought this game to try because I found the visuals, cute and unique interactive design really approachable to start exploring music. I really appreciate the ease of entry compared to complex setup of other music production tools like DAWs. Through the process of creating the first tape, I enjoyed working with the different toys / instruments at my own pace, comparing them with the previous ones and imagining how it might turn out finally. Fixed a text break issue in the Train Screen for French.

Optimized the performance and resilience for saving cassettes.
Prepared save files and UI for future updates.

Bug Tracking

Enhanced local logging system to make it easier finding bugs in the future.
- Important: This logging system is completely offline and local to your device. We do not have access to these logs unless you choose to send them to us. If you encounter issues and wish to share your logs for support, you'll need to manually send them to us.
