what is wrong with this game?
Hi so I've been having a lot of problems trying to launch this game. Every time I click play on steam it starts up like its loading, but the screen just goes black and crashes. Sometimes it shows the Unreal Games logo but it never actually loads.

Before you ask:
Yes i tried running as admin.
Yes I checked the graphics card.
I tried different launch options.
Yes I restarted my pc and tried again.
I watched multiple tutorials (ironic there's any in the first place).
And I am 90% sure my pc is capable of running it.

Pls help I spent like 11 bucks on this, I don't want my money to waste.

Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13620H 2.40 GHz
Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.6 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
I'm on windows 11.
I don't really know how to find it but It says chip type is Intel(R) UHD Graphics Family, or Intel(R) UHD Graphics.

Hey there.

Your PC specs should be totally fine. Are you also having crashing issues?

If you are, can you try making sure graphics drivers are up to date, you have DX12 installed, running the game as admin and verfying steam files. If none of those work, can you drop us a bug report using the provide feedback button at the bottom right of our website https://wearesecretmode.com/

Thanks!

Hey there.

I want to say your specs will probably fall under our minimum, especially without a dedicated GPU (going off what you said, your CPU is also acting as your GPU, and this is normally a lot worse than having any dedicated GPU.)

Feel free to drop us a bug ticket though using the provide feedback button at the bottom right of our website https://wearesecretmode.com/

Thanks so much!

Hey so I just checked and my GPU is a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, which I believe should exceed the recommended. And my CPU/Processor is a 13th Gen Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-13620H which should also exceed the recommended.

Ah, that's interesting! I was going off the Intel UHD you mentioned, which is intergrated graphics haha.

I don't suppose you're using an external monitor? Sometimes with laptop GPUs (my work machine does this, and it's also a 4070), it gets really weird and choppy with laptop GPUs, but removing the monitor and just playing on the laptop itself is totally fine.

No, I'm playing on the laptops screen itself and have no other monitor plugged in.

That is real stange. :( I personally am not too sure what else to suggest. If you've done that bug reporting ticket, our QA team will look at it and hopefully feed back some advice soon. I'll update when I can.
