Excellent puzzles and a solid challenge

I appreciate the thought behind leaning into the story-driven aspects of this game. However, the added extrinsic motivation of trying to do these time-sensitive high-stakes things completely ruins the normal joy of solving puzzles. It turned what should be the joy of discovery into the annoyance of impediment. Regardless of how good the puzzle is, the story is telling me to Accomplish Goal Now and demanding I rush through whatever is put it in front of me, making it an obstacle rather than something to enjoy. Also, the slow pace of the cutscenes are intolerable given the stakes. If Leonardo ever moved at more than a snail's pace we would have succeeded no problem. Gotta thumbs down this one.

A good ways from the gameplay polish of a Myst. The mechanisms are baroque and rube goldberg-y, which is part of the appeal but means sometimes they're not all that logical.

Some of the puzzles are interesting, but the environments are very cluttered and the hotspots vague - and when you try clicking around, you can be punished by a movement animation to somewhere you didn't want to be. I like to solve games without hints, but this one lost my trust early on - at least the hint system is good.
