Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks 1.0 Launches on Steam

We are excited to announce that our publisher Wired Productions and developer Caged Element have officially launched Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks on Steam today. Following an early access phase that saw over 250,000 players blast opponents, this high-octane combat racing game has had some tuning up and has sped into 1.0.

Last week, Wired Productions revealed they had taken over publishing rights – removing microtransactions entirely - and introducing fresh tracks, maps, game modes, and customization options. Assemble your crew of Grotz, Gitz, and Squigz – and battle in PVP and PVE lobbies!

I played the demo for a while

The game has potential. However, something about the shooting isn't quite right for me. It's not wooden, but it's not perfect. And it's an important gameplay element. I've played many Steam demos. One was so good I breezed through it, and this one I played for 10 minutes and didn't want to play anymore. Something about the shooting just doesn't feel right to me. The shooting lacks a bit of depth. I don't know when the game will be released, but I'd still like to work on the shooting feel....

Hello, Below is my feedback on the play test...not that it technically matters, but my two cents Pros: - I really like the environment of the game. Underwater laboratory with a mutation spreading to me is awesome!!! - Lovecraft for the win!!! - The graphics and lighting of the game look really good...when you can see them (more below) - Story line in just the play test peaked my interest. Solid foundation to build on - Voice acting to me was fine. The actors had personality, it was clear, and I could ...

My feedback (copied from playtest discussion)

I don't have Discord so I'll add my feedback here and hopefully it'll be read by the dev team. --The body cam-style of camera is neat but doesn't work with a lot of elements to this build. When loading/unloading the battery, the shoulders disconnect from the camera and looks hilarious. --The shambler movement is hilarious to watch..... it definitely breaks the horror vibe. Personally, I would rework them so that they act like they're trying to learn how to control the host's body. --The aiming is wonky.......
