Test Your Might on Selaco Must Fall difficulty.
So when you reach the first Ace room on Selaco Must Fall difficulty the Med Station has a prompt for Test Your Might by pressing E to use. When you press E there’s blood all the sudden everywhere and it says in all caps SELACO HAS FALLEN. What did I just do?!

likely a reference to mortal kombat.

I am just looking into this game and am about to purchase it. Figured I'd check forums to see general thoughts and reading the OP I kinda smiled thinking that's gotta be an MK throwback reference to test your might!

I'm hoping its just a nod to mortal kombat. For some reason I got the feeling it made the game even more difficult like sending a hit squad of enforcers after me lol. I couldn't find anything online about it so figured I'd ask before I continued. I'm about to hop back on and see.

So looks like just in the next section when you slide under a door if you didn’t Test Your Might you see a soldier get killed by a spider bot. If you did Test Your Might you can’t even slide under the door there are so many spider bots and enforcers now in that room. Little ammo and grenades to even make a dent in how many enemies are there. And they are shooting at you from under the door. So in conclusion it’s impossible to continue after Testing Your Might.

Using a Health Station in SMF spawns Enforcers all over the map.

Health Stations made the game easier which is illegal in our sadistic joke difficulty!

I love it! Should be an achievement to Test Your Might and succeed in a level.
But is it in theory beatable at that point somehow? That would also assume that after killing the 1st bunch the frame rate doesn't implode to 1, good times.

I'd love to know myself, actually :P

These types of things are very interesting to figure out.

I do not think it's possible, but people are also beating Mario64 without jumping so there's that.
I guess we'll see how far i can drop the resolution and start from there haha
I think maybe now with new game plus it is possible. The problem before was not having enough weapons/ammo/grenades to proceed. If you have access to all the guns and stuff I could see potential. I've been meaning to play again since all the new updates. Maybe this will motivate me...

Performance might still be a concern in it's current state, as there's a hundred enemies and the game isn't entirely designed around that.

Maybe after we patch in some more optimization passes this whole thing will remain fully playable!

Special Campaign will absolutely make this easier. Get a lucky Railgun, line them up, fire away :P

Personally i would be shocked if someone DOESN'T beat that difficulty,

Have you seen what Zero Master did to Doom? Classic AND modern?

It's currently not possible not due to the amount of enemies per say but because the sheer amount of enemies slows the game down to unplayable status. I'm confident it would be possible if there wasnt any slowdown.
I've been skipping these in SMF, but plan to go back and see if they can be done after finishing Starlight (getting all the guns and upgrades first, stocking up on explosives, etc.) For my system it's not the quantity of enemies but rather the quantity of gore that slows it down. Turning off persistent gore fixes this for me mostly.
