Final Review of Undisputed Release 1.0.

For brevity, I am going to focus on one point for this final review. I will say beforehand that the complaints that are written are very accurate overall and the game that debuted in November of 2022 for beta testing was a more complete and higher quality boxing game for 12 round fights. Career mode was an after thought and it was held back close to release because it is so bare bones, not fun or engaging to play. There is no story with it, no purpose to do the things like "negotiate contracts and make more money" because there is nothing to do with the money except buy better gym acceess which is a completely linear based affair anyway. The console porting ONLY took out features from the PC version like extra quality options, reflections, ultrawide support and more. There are numerous very specific reasons but it all revolves around a very disingenuous studio that hired and worked with the most manipulative studio vultures used to catering to highly focused financial investors and the gamers are just considered subjects and necessary fodder for their purposes of making money over making a quality piece of art.

The most EGREGIOUS and frankly illegal mistakes were made in Early Access with the studio having yet to acknowlede of face consequence of the mistake. By the studio's own admission in early access, they admitted to collecting the wrong data analytics from their entire customer base. As a result, they had to release an entire update focused to only change the analytics to the correct data. No changes were made to game play. So this is not speculation that this occurred, it's factual. The only issue is no one knows how badly the mistake is and the extent of the legal consequences. I have tried for over a year to encourage them to be honest with the community and take ownership instead of just ignoring the problem and stonewalling it while they go and continue to aggressively expand and take more investor money. The have had over 20 million dollars in marketing alone to effectively drown out negative feedback by people warning other buyers and consumers about the game.

I have worked with the publisher's chief privacy officer who was fielding my concerns and mostly just lying by omission and selectively answering aspects of questions for at least six months. I finally asked the person to just answer how it is legal to collect the wrong data and send it out to third parties which is factulal. How it a data breach only bad if it is through hacking? A leak is a leak and a breach is a breach. This is the only case I've ever been involved with where a company will not even admit to it's entire community WHAT INFORMATION was collected and at risk! It's illegal. SCI has done nothing to even clarify to the community that there is no personal information at stake and they are sorry and they will do X, Y and Zed. Nothing.

For this reason alone I wouldn't support this studio. And if you are a current owner who had the game in early access then it's important to send some emails asking them what is at risk and what are they doing about it almost two years later. This is a classion action lawsuit but there is no action is the community only is inactive. The chief privacy officer said they have no accountability and distanced themselves from me and the studio with that statement. They referred me back to talk to the studio but the studio has NO way to contact them! All the communications on their own site go to Plaion which is how I got in contact in the first place. It's just an endlessly broken loop that further illlustrates utter disregard to the game, it's community and the gaming industry. They are BOUND to GDPR law for every single copy that is sold regardless of country or region as they are a European studio and they continue to disregard GDPR privacy protections. Speak up and speak out and contac those European commissions and officers so the people can be held accountable for this mess.
