I must be missing something, I'm in the first room, and I can't find the key to the door. I figured it was in the treasure chest on the table, but I don't know the combination, and have no idea where to find it.

As has been said before. This version was released as EARLY ACCESS. But an error in the release anticipated the final release of the game. THIS GAME IS IN DEVELOPMENT and we really need your help to improve it. We want to fix bugs before introducing the next level (which is the most complex, fun and advanced game). Everyone is welcome....

Anyone getting crazy amounts of lag most of the time?
I don't know what's causing it but the game seems to be using ALOT of memory and cpu power, lots of lag when facing specific directions... maybe it's trying to load a lot of objects and animations in those directions at the same time? My rig is a brand new MSI Ge66 laptop with an RTX 3080 MaxQ 16gb in it... it shouldn't be lagging....
