cool game

Not a winner for me.
Why do stacks of units, even when they are down to 1hp, still deal full damage on retaliation/attack? It only makes sense if it is a large single unit, like a dragon/giant/etc.
This is something HOMM got right decades ago.
For example, a unit that appears to be 5 goblins deals the exact same amount of damage with its abilities/attacks when it is 100% hp and when it is on 1%hp.
The magic is very basic and not involved in combat.
Hero upgrades, when they level up, are rubbish. Unit's can't become cooler units. Army sizes are really small. Hardly any spells in the game.
I think it needs a lot of work to become something deep.

It feels like a boardgame that's been made into a computer game, like for like.
