Been playing since start ,via steam. Have not seen this problem. No maintainance message , just failed to authenticate. Please advise.

When I launched the game yesterday, I cannot enter the game. The screen just show a window said " Identification Failure". I searched many posts for solution. They may faced this situation, but no one mentioned how to solve it. Please help.
