Black Background / Ui Not Working

Whenever I open the game none of the UI works and the background of the main tab is completely black. Joining a different server results in game crashing. I've tried verifying game data and reinstalling neither worked anyone know how to fix this?

won't load

my game keeps getting stuck on "checking version - 3/7..." and won't load past it. It wasn't doing this to me yesterday, is this happening to anyone else?

How do I get the fox in chapter 18-10

In order to get The Fox, you have to get 3 stars for level 18-10. One of the requirements is to defeat The Fox with an attack skill. But attack skills do zero damage to the boss. What am I missing here?
