Tape to Tape is a silly game. Throwing your stick and dropping people is funny every time you do it. Powerups remind me of the old 3 on 3 NHL Arcade for Xbox 360 and NBA Jams, but have some synergy with each other and you build your team similar to the way you build a character through powerups in Hades or other roguelikes. The weird style works well with the animations and it gets hilariously chaotic sometimes. The hockey gameplay reminds me a lot of the old EA Sports NHL games before they introduced the hit stick and you still shot with the buttons.

Absolutely braindead teammates, they just follow the puck. I can't pass to anyone for a cross because there is never anybody there. While the opposing team's players are actually positioning themselves and pulling complex maneuvers, your players are just chasing the puck.

I like the hockey gameplay, feels fluid enough but still has tons of fun gimmicky abilities. It's the right mix of scratching the hockey itch while the learning curve isn't so steep you get frustrated.
