This game is made way more difficult because of the lack of contrast bewteen teams. I have had some vision loss witch unfortunately also comes with some color blindness, There is no color blind mode (at this point). How am I supposed to make a break out pass when I don't know which tem I am targeting? Further, the teams frequently wear similar colors. Nevermind that would almost never happen in real hockey. I've also found switching players to be horribly inaccurate. It just ends up being a really stupid gate keep against people with vision issues. Otherwise, I do like the game. its just a shame I can't really play it. In case you are wondering how much vision loss I have, I play PoE2 (among other games) with little to no issues.

NHL Hitz if it was remade as a roguelite.

Excellent game, if you are looking for an arcade'y hockey game on PC or a fun pick up and play hockey game for PC just pick it up you won't regret it. For the $15 I paid on sale it is worth every penny even if it never gets another update and not yet having played it with friends. I have gotten my moneys worth already and I know this will be a blast to play with friends when we are together.

I will say I do wish there were more bosses in the campaign mode, after winning a few times it can feel a bit too repetitive and long before you unlock everything. Adding more bosses I think would also play nicely into adding the option to then continue your run in an endless mode where the difficulty continues going up if you are having fun with your current team which I would love to see.

Also I know a season mode is on the roadmap but I would love to see a mode like that where I can draft a team and add power ups and rank them up playing against other standard teams. I would love to see other more traditional modes from hockey/sports games given a tape to tape spin like a franchise mode or a pro player mode. For example if you add a draft team/franchise like mode you could have it that you could unlock crowd power ups (Think crowd throws a squid on the ice causing a slow spot once a period, trigger crowd to do the wave to temp boost stats, or random debris is thrown on the ice throughout the game for the puck to get caught on)


Also I know reliable yet fair feeling netcode is hard, especially for quick paced games like sports, but it would be nice to have a proper multiplayer mode once the game reaches a more feature complete status. Steam remote play together does a good enough job in most cases, and true local coop is always superior and I love is featured here, But it would be nice to be able to play a for those cases where remote play just is not quite consistent enough.
