In NG+, after getting the fishing journal reward and beating Crom, the game crashes when selecting the character in that save, presumably from getting a second copy of the God Armor spell

Hello, I've been enjoying the game's vibe so far! I'm at the part of the game where I'm looking for the Delta Vault at the Temple of Uruk, though I'm not quite sure where it is in the Temple. So far I only have access to the first and second floor, and I have both Bart and Moshie equipped. We've hit a bit of a hurdle though on the hidden boss Crom on new game+ We're both wondering if the only way to beat this boss is to grind your brawn stat to as high as possible before fighting?
